This guide is written for hobbyists who want to capture the corroded, flesh-fused aesthetic of the warband using standard hobby paints and washes.

1. Prime

• Apply a grey or black zenithal prime to establish natural shadow and highlight from the outset.
• Ensure all deep recesses are reached before moving to base coats.

2. Armour Base

• Base coat iron and steel plates with a dark metallic paint such as Leadbelcher or similar.
• Apply a dark brown base to any leather straps or organic growths before washing.
