Trench Crusade Style resin miniatures arrive in your hands as fully printed, support-removed physical models, ready to assemble and paint straight from the box. The Tet'o Abyss Hounds are a set of 2 grotesque creature models, each standing approximately 31mm from top to bottom. These headless, tentacle-mawed horrors stalk on four clawed limbs, their bloated bodies riddled with pulsating nodules and writhing appendages that drag along the ground beneath them. They are the kind of abomination that belongs in the darkest corners of a ruined, god-forsaken battlefield.

Sculpted by DakkaDakka, these models capture the unsettling anatomy of eldritch hound-beasts with exceptional detail. The flowing musculature, coiling tentacles, and clawed feet all translate beautifully into physical resin form. Every surface offers opportunities for washes, drybrushing, and freehand work. The two poses provide visual variety in a squad or warband, making them a strong addition to any grimdark collection inspired by Trench Crusade Style aesthetics.

Each model arrives on an oval base, supports already removed and surfaces cleaned. Minor assembly may be required depending on tentacle positioning. Models are supplied unpainted and unprimed. Paints, glue, and tools are sold separately.

Squad size: 2 models. Scale: 31mm from top to bottom.

Painting Guide: Trench Crusade Style - Tet'o Abyss Hounds

These creatures suit a pallid, necrotic flesh palette with dark, oil-slicked tentacles. The following guide walks through a recommended approach for achieving a grimdark Trench Crusade Style finish on these models.

1. Prime

  • Prime with a black or dark grey spray primer for maximum shadow depth in recesses.
  • Optionally, zenithal highlight with white or pale grey from above to pre-shade the model.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat the flesh with a mid-tone grey or pale bone colour such as Rakarth Flesh or Pallid Wych Flesh.
  • Apply a thin coat over the whole body, keeping the recesses dark from the primer beneath.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out the nodules and raised pustules in a slightly warmer tone, such as a pale ochre or cream, to contrast against the cold grey flesh.
  • Add a thin glaze of purple or blue into the deepest skin folds to suggest sickly, bruised tissue.

4. Weapons

  • Paint the tentacles in a deep, desaturated burgundy or dark teal, building up highlights toward the tips with a lighter version of the same hue.
  • Add subtle OSL or wetness effects to the tentacle tips using a gloss varnish dot or a thin layer of 'Ardcoat.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a dark brown or black oil wash across the entire model and pull it into recesses with a clean, damp brush.
  • Drybrush raised areas of the body very lightly with white or off-white to pick out muscle definition and nodule tops.

6. Bases

  • Texture the oval base with a dark mud paste or fine grit, then drybrush with a warm stone colour.
  • Add tufts, small stones, or pooled water effects to reinforce the blighted trench warzone setting.
