Trench Crusade Style resin miniatures arrive in this set as the Tet'o Kr'lieh Keeper Squad, a brooding brotherhood of armoured warriors clad in ornate plate, flowing ragged robes, and bearing a grim array of bladed polearms, brutal close-range firearms, and shields etched with occult iconography. Each figure carries an aura of ancient, corrupted authority, perfect for elite infantry or sinister cult leaders in grimdark wargames and skirmish campaigns.
This squad contains 6 physical resin miniatures, each measuring approximately 42 to 46 mm from feet to eyes. Sculpted by DakkaDakka, the models feature exceptional surface detail including braided beards, layered armour panels, torn robes, and hand-crafted weaponry that rewards careful painting. Supports have already been removed and the models have been cleaned and sanded where needed. They arrive ready to assemble and paint straight from the box.
The squad offers multiple weapon loadouts across its six poses: long curved blades mounted on staffs, heavy barrel weapons held at the hip, and a command figure raising one gauntlet with a conjuring gesture. The variety of stances gives the unit strong visual dynamism on the tabletop, whether ranked up in a warband or deployed as individual characters.
Bases are included. The Trench Crusade Style aesthetic running through this kit blends archaic religious dread with brutal martial function, making the squad a strong centrepiece or elite unit for any grimdark force that values imposing presence on the battlefield.
Painting Guide: Trench Crusade Style - Tet'o Kr'lieh Keeper SquadThis guide walks you through achieving the dark, weathered gold and iron look shown in the painted miniature photograph, capturing the Trench Crusade Style atmosphere of corrupted devotion.
1. Prime
- Prime with a grey or black spray primer for good contrast on the fine detail.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat armour plates with a mid-brown or bronze tone such as Scorched Brown or Balthazar Gold.
- Apply a warm ochre highlight to raised edges to bring out the layered panel work.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out belt buckles, chest icons, and waist plates in a lighter gold or brass tone.
- Paint robes and cloth areas in a desaturated bone or off-white, then wash with a sepia or brown shade.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat blades and gun barrels in a dark iron or leadbelcher tone.
- Highlight blade edges with a bright silver and add a faint green or blue tint to the polearm blades for an ethereal edge.
5. Weathering
- Apply a dark brown wash over all armour, then stipple chipping effects with a sponge and dark grey paint.
- Add rust streaks on lower armour panels using an orange-brown mix dragged downward with a fine brush.
6. Bases
- Paint bases in muddy brown or dark grey, add texture paste or small stones, then drybrush a pale grey over the top and finish with a dark wash to tie the model to a bleak battlefield environment.
