This Trench Crusade Style resin miniature brings the terrifying Tet'o Kr'lieh Hunter to your tabletop. Standing 32 mm from feet to eyes, this single-figure release depicts a gaunt, alien predator clad in a tattered hooded shroud, wearing a riveted face-mask punched with circular holes. Long, sinuous limbs end in raking multi-digit claws, and a thick prehensile tail coils behind the creature, adding unsettling mass to an otherwise skeletal silhouette. A corroded emblem hangs at the chest, hinting at a blasphemous allegiance forged in trenches far beneath a poisoned sky.
The sculpt arrives as a physical resin miniature, supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, mounted on a 40 mm round base. It is ready to assemble if any minor sub-components are present, then prime and paint. The level of surface detail is exceptional: every fold of the ragged shroud, every knuckle of the predatory hands, and the ribbed underside of the tail reward careful brush work and washes. This is a single model release, ideal as a lone hunter, an objective marker, or an elite operative in any grimdark skirmish game.
The Trench Crusade Style aesthetic running through this sculpt captures the horror of a forgotten war where faith and flesh have both long since rotted. Corrupted religious iconography sits alongside organic nightmare anatomy, making the Tet'o Kr'lieh Hunter a centrepiece worthy of an entire warband. Whether you field it as a summoned abomination, a relic-bearing cultist, or a possessed inquisitor, the model commands attention on any battlefield table.
Material: high-detail grey resin. Scale: 32 mm (feet to eyes). Base included: 40 mm round. Squad size: 1 model per pack. Sculptor: DakkaDakka.
Painting Guide: Trench Crusade Style - Tet'o Kr'lieh HunterThe painted example shown uses a desaturated, mud-and-rust palette that reinforces the Trench Crusade Style atmosphere of perpetual decay. Follow the steps below to achieve a similar result or adapt them to your own colour choices.
1. Prime
- Apply a zenithal prime: black spray from below, grey spray at 45 degrees, and a very light pass of off-white from directly above. This pre-shading will save time on all subsequent steps.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the face-mask and any rigid panels with a mid-brown such as Rhinox Hide or XV-88.
- Drybrush lightly with Screaming Skull to pick out raised edges and rivets before washing.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint the chest emblem with thinned Gehenna's Gold, then shade immediately with Agrax Earthshade to knock back the brightness and add grime.
- Pick out any small studs or relief text with Leadbelcher and wash with Nuln Oil for a corroded steel look.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the claws and tail with Rakarth Flesh, wash with a 1:1 mix of Reikland Fleshshade and Lahmian Medium, then edge-highlight with Pallid Wych Flesh.
- Glaze the claw tips with a very thin Carroburg Crimson to suggest dried gore.
5. Weathering
- Stipple the shroud with thinned Rhinox Hide and Abaddon Black using a torn blister-pack foam piece to create irregular staining and rot patches.
- Add pin washes of thinned Nuln Oil into every recessed fold of the shroud fabric to deepen shadows and sell the worn texture.
6. Bases
- Apply texture paste in a muddy brown, drybrush with Karak Stone, and finish with a gloss varnish pooled in the recesses to simulate waterlogged trench mud. A few fragments of broken resin or sprue can be added as debris before the texture sets.
