Each model in Torquemada's Inquisition has been sculpted with exceptional surface detail, from riveted plate and worn leather strapping to ornate religious iconography. The range includes armoured soldiers carrying rifles and bladed weapons, a robed inquisitor figure bearing a towering sword, and a pistol-armed operative in a wide-brimmed hat. Scaling sits at approximately 32mm to 35mm, making them fully compatible with popular skirmish and warband rulesets.

The entire warband was designed and sculpted by DakkaDakka, whose work across this set demonstrates a strong command of grimdark character and surface craft. The set ships as 13 physical resin miniatures. Some models may be multi-part and require plastic-compatible super glue or hobby resin adhesive for assembly. Minor mould lines may be present and can be removed with a hobby knife or light sanding before painting. This guide is written to help you bring out the grim character of Torquemada's Inquisition using standard hobby acrylic paints and washes. The pallid, battle-worn aesthetic suits a restrained, desaturated palette with selective spot colour on icons and lenses.

1. Prime

• Apply a thin, even coat of grey or bone spray primer across all models.
• A zenithal highlight using white from above will help define the relief detail before painting begins.

2. Armour Base

• Basecoat armour plates with a mid-grey such as Mechanicus Standard Grey or equivalent.
• Layer up with a lighter grey on raised edges to create natural contrast before washing.

3. Trim and Details

• Paint leather straps and coat fabric in a warm brown or dark tan to contrast the grey armour.
• Apply religious icons or purity seals in off-white, then shade with a sepia wash for an aged look.

4. Weapons

• Basecoat rifle stocks in a dark brown and metallics in a dark iron tone such as Leadbelcher.
• Dry-brush lightly with a brighter silver to pick out barrel edges and blade surfaces.

5. Weathering

• Apply a thinned brown or black wash into recesses and joints to suggest field wear and grime.
• Use a sponge or stippling brush with a dark brown to add chipping effects to armour plates.

6. Bases

• Texture paste in a muddy brown or ashen grey suits the trench warfare aesthetic of the warband.
• Finish with tufts of dead grass or scorched earth static grass to complete the battlefield setting.
