This Trench Crusade style heavy support squad brings the brutal, faith-forged aesthetic of the eternal trenches to your tabletop. Sculpted by DakkaDakka, this set contains three physical resin miniatures depicting heavily armoured Conquistador warriors equipped with long-barrelled rifles, pistols, and bulky field packs. Each figure measures 33 mm from feet to eyes, placing them firmly in the 32 mm heroic scale range and fitting naturally alongside most modern grimdark wargame ranges.

The miniatures arrive already printed in high-detail resin, with supports removed and surfaces cleaned. They are ready to assemble where applicable and to receive primer straight from the box. The sculpts capture the grim character of soldiers who have marched through war without end, wearing battered plate armour over layered coats, with gas-masked helms and conical visored heads that evoke a cursed crusading force pushed far beyond the edge of sanity. This Trench Crusade style aesthetic suits narrative wargaming, skirmish play, or display collections equally well.

The squad includes three distinct poses across two visible weapon loadouts: long rifles for ranged fire support and pistols for close engagement. Rear-view details reveal heavy field packs, straps, buckles, and campaign-worn armour plating that reward careful painting. Whether you are building a full warband or adding specialist fire support to an existing force, these models offer strong visual impact on the battlefield.

Bases are included with each model. The set is supplied in grey resin and requires painting to complete the finished look.

Painting Guide: Trench Crusade style - Conquistador Heavy Support

These models suit a desaturated, mud-stained palette that reinforces the Trench Crusade style mood of endless war and desperate faith. Work from dark to light and lean into heavy weathering to make the most of the sculpted surface detail.

1. Prime

  • Apply a black or dark grey spray primer over the entire model to seal the resin and provide a strong base for subsequent layers.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat the plate armour with a mid-grey or cold steel tone such as Mechanicus Standard Grey or Leadbelcher.
  • Apply a thin coat of a warm brown over coats and robes to suggest old, stained fabric aged by years of campaign.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out straps, buckles, and pack fittings with a muted brass or tarnished gold tone.
  • Paint lenses and gas mask vents in a deep amber or red to add a focal point against the muted armour.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat rifle barrels and pistols with a dark iron mix, then drybrush a brighter silver along raised edges to suggest worn metal.
  • Add wood-grain texturing to any stock areas using a reddish brown followed by fine streaking with a darker shade.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a brown wash across the full model to tie all tones together and deepen recesses in the armour and fabric.
  • Use a sponge or stippling brush to dab chipping effects in dark brown and bright silver across armour edges and pack corners.

6. Bases

  • Texture the base with a mix of fine sand and PVA, then paint in muddy browns and greys. Add tufts of dead grass or small stone chips to evoke a blasted trench landscape.
