1. Prime

• Spray or brush prime in grey or black for a dark, grimdark base tone.
• A zenithal highlight of white or light grey over the top will help bring out the sculpt's fine detail before you begin layering colour.

2. Armour Base

• Block in all plate armour with a dark iron or leadbelcher tone.
• Add a thin wash of dark brown or black ink into all the recesses to push depth into the rivets and panel lines.

3. Trim and Details

• Pick out the cross motifs, canister straps, and breathing apparatus with a warm brass or aged bronze, then wash with sepia.
• Cloth and leather areas under the armour look strong in a muted ochre or dirty off-white, washed with brown ink.

4. Weapons
