The Disciples of Tet'o – Core Set brings eight twisted, nightmare-born figures to your tabletop, each one a testament to corruption, parasitic transformation, and ancient penance made manifest in cold resin. These are the afflicted, the hollow, the condemned: hollow vessels animated by incomprehensible forces, bound by chains both physical and metaphysical, their forms warped beyond recognition into something altogether more terrible.

This core warband of 8 models spans a range of grotesque archetypes. The towering, tendril-crowned figure stretches unnaturally tall, its limbs elongated and its fingers curled into bone-white claws, radiating a quiet, alien menace. Alongside it, a second entity is fused to a mass of naval mines, chains, and mechanical detritus, its body half-consumed by the machinery it commands. Every model in the Disciples of Tet'o range carries a distinct visual identity rooted in grimdark horror, blending organic mutation with industrial decay at approximately 32mm scale. Sculpted with extraordinary detail by DakkaDakka, each piece arrives as a physical resin miniature with supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and paint.

Whether you field them as a cursed warband in a narrative campaign or display them as centrepieces in a collection, these models reward patient, skilled painters who enjoy pushing contrast, texture, and colour theory to their limits. The Disciples of Tet'o are not soldiers. They are something older, stranger, and far more dangerous.

This guide is designed for intermediate to advanced painters looking to do justice to the organic horror and industrial decay that define this warband.

1. Prime

• Apply a zenithal prime using black from below and pale grey or white from directly above to establish natural shading across the forms.
• A light misting of bone white over the zenithal layer will help the organic skin tones read clearly.

2. Armour Base

• For the mechanical elements such as the mine casings and chains, basecoat with a dark steel or gunmetal grey.
• Wash heavily with a dark brown or sepia to fill recesses and suggest age and rust.

3. Trim and Details

• Pick out rivets, bolts, and pipe fittings with a brighter silver applied with a fine detail brush.
• Edge highlight chain links with a pale gold or oxidised copper to create visual contrast against the dark iron tones.

4. Weapons

• Paint the clawed limbs and bone protrusions with a warm ivory base, shading into deep brown at the roots and tips.
• Add faint red or bruised purple glazes at the joints to suggest living tissue under tension.

5. Weathering

• Stipple orange-brown rust onto the mechanical surfaces using a torn blister foam for a natural, pitted texture.
• Add streaking effects by drawing thin lines of diluted brown downward from rust spots and seams.

6. Bases

• Suggest a blasted trench environment using textured paste, small stones, and a palette of muddy browns and muted greens, finished with a gloss varnish pooling in recesses to mimic standing water.
