Painting Guide: Whisper of Corruption

The Gomorrah Idolaters palette contrasts cold teal armour against warm gold trim and deep shadow — striking from across the table and rewarding up close.

1. Prime

• Black spray primer across all models pulls depth from recesses. Use grey primer if you prefer a brighter starting point for the teal armour panels.

2. Armour

• Base armour plates with Sotek Green, wash with Coelia Greenshade into the recesses, then layer back up through Temple Guard Blue to a fine edge highlight of Baharroth Blue on the sharpest rims.
• The Haseki's large shoulder and breastplate surfaces reward wet-blending or two-brush blending for a smooth gradient.

3. Gold Trim and Cloth

• Trim with Retributor Armour, wash with Reikland Fleshshade, re-highlight with Liberator Gold and spot Stormhost Silver at the brightest peaks.
• Dark undergarments and belts in Abaddon Black with a subtle Eshin Grey edge — keep them dark to make the armour read clearly.

4. Flesh and the Liberated Slaves

• Liberated Slaves skin: Cadian Fleshtone base, Reikland Fleshshade wash pooled in hollows, Kislev Flesh on raised muscle, off-white at sharpest edges.
• Blade and claw weapons on the Slaves in dark steel with a blue-black tinge — Incubi Darkness base with Stormhost Silver at the very edge.

5. Crystal Accents and Ozzy's Speaker Rig

• Gem and crystal accents: Screamer Pink base, Fulgrim Pink mid, white dot for the hottest highlight — add a thin pink glaze to the surrounding area for OSL glow.
• Ozzy's speaker cone surfaces: dark iron basecoat with heavy rust streaking using diluted Troll Slayer Orange. Chrome accents on the bass guitar strings with Stormhost Silver.

6. Bases

• Cracked obsidian or dark ash basing ties the warband together. Stirland Mud texture, dry-brushed with Mechanicus Standard Grey, with scattered bone fragments in Ushabti Bone adds to the sinister aesthetic. 32mm round bases suit all five models.
