Five characters, each one a different answer to the same question: what walks out of the WarpLand alive. A warlord who rules by fear, two casters who bargain with things better left buried, a hunter who reads the wastes like a page, and a technocrat carrying salvage nobody else dares switch on.

Built as a party rather than a squad. There are no rank and file here, so every model is a character you can name, and the set drops straight into a roleplaying campaign or serves as the command core of a larger force.

Cast in high quality resin with sharp surface detail across cloth, armour and faces. Suited to skirmish wargames, narrative campaigns and roleplaying tables, or to a display shelf. Plastic glue will not bond resin, so use cyanoacrylate superglue.

The following steps will help you bring the WarpLand Adventure Party to life on the battlefield. The palette leans into grim, desaturated tones to capture the desolate world these warriors inhabit.

1. Prime

• Apply a thin, even coat of grey or black spray primer to all models.
• Check for any missed recesses and touch up by hand with thinned primer before proceeding.

2. Armour Base

• Block in heavy armour plates with a mid-tone grey or stone colour such as Mechanicus Standard Grey or equivalent.
• Use a dark brown on leather straps, belts, and wrapped fabric sections to create tonal contrast.

3. Trim and Details

• Pick out skull motifs and bone ornaments with a pale bone or ivory base coat, then shade with a diluted brown wash.
• Apply a deeper shade wash into all recesses across the armour to define the sculpted edges.

4. Weapons

• Basecoat blades and metal fittings with a dark gunmetal tone, then drybrush lightly with a bright silver to catch the raised edges.
• For wooden hafts and bows, use a warm brown base followed by a thin black wash to bring out the grain texture.

5. Weathering

• Stipple chipping effects onto armour plates using a small torn blister foam and dark brown paint.
• Add streaking grime effects by drawing thinned dark brown vertically down flat armour surfaces with a fine brush.

6. Bases

• Texture the base with a paste or fine sand, prime black, then drybrush with a pale grey to suggest ash-covered wasteland ground.
• Add optional tufts of dead grass or small stones to complete the blighted battlefield aesthetic.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.

WarpLand is a dark science fantasy setting by Gavriel Quiroga. The models suit any 28mm skirmish or roleplaying system, and the book is worth reading for the world alone.
