Vaelith - Tiefling Oracle - 32mm Resin Miniature

Vaelith is a commanding tiefling oracle, sculpted as a single-figure resin miniature standing approximately 32mm scale. The sculpt captures Vaelith in a confident, languid pose, arms raised behind her head, curved horns framing a sharp and knowing expression. She wears minimal arcane armour across her torso, flowing skirt panels, and leg wraps, with ornate bracers at her wrists. A wicked double-bladed polearm leans at her side, its blade design suggesting ancient, forbidden craft. A sinuous tail curls around the base of the weapon. The scenic base features shattered stonework and broken debris, adding battlefield drama to every angle of the figure.

The warm tan resin basecoat gives you a neutral starting point. This guide assumes a dark fantasy palette to complement Vaelith's oracle theme, leaning into deep purples, cold metallics, and warm flesh tones.

1. Prime

• Apply a zenithal prime using black spray from below and grey or white spray from above to establish natural shadow and highlight zones across the figure.

2. Armour Base

• Basecoat armour plates with a deep violet, such as Naggaroth Night or Xereus Purple, to suggest infernal sorcery woven into the material.
• Apply a thin wash of Druchii Violet into the recesses to deepen the shadows and separate each armoured panel cleanly.

3. Trim and Details

• Pick out bracers, armour edge trim, and jewel accents with a tarnished gold, such as Retributor Armour shaded with Agrax Earthshade, for an aged arcane aesthetic.
• Edge highlight the armour plates with a lighter purple mixed with white to restore brightness on raised surfaces.

4. Weapons

• Basecoat the polearm shaft in dark brown, then drybrush with Baneblade Brown for a worn wooden texture. Paint the blade with a cold steel, such as Leadbelcher, shaded with Nuln Oil.
• Add a glowing edge effect along the blade using a thin line of pale green or sickly yellow to suggest corrupted energy, building up with successive thin glazes from the blade edge inward.

5. Weathering

• Add subtle chipping to the armour using a fine brush and a dark grey, focusing on corners and high-contact areas to suggest hard use in the field.
• Apply a very thin glaze of Guilliman Flesh or equivalent over skin areas and deepen shadows at the collarbone and waist with a controlled wash of Reikland Fleshshade.

6. Bases

• Drybrush the shattered stone base with Administratum Grey over a black undercoat, then apply a light dusting of Praxeti White on the highest peaks of broken rock. Add a small amount of tufted grass or dark moss to break up the stone texture and ground the figure visually.
