The Doomsday Heavy Fire Support Squad is a battle-hardened, grimdark heavy weapons unit sculpted with an exceptional level of detail, arriving as a physical resin miniature kit ready to assemble and paint straight out of the box. Supports have already been removed and surfaces cleaned, so you can get straight to the hobby the moment it arrives at your door. The kit comes in 25 parts and measures approximately 32mm from feet to eyes.

This five-soldier squad brings serious firepower to the tabletop. The set includes a twin-barrelled field cannon emplacement set behind sandbag cover, a commanding officer with binoculars and a raised fist barking orders, a seated mortar operator loading a round under fire, and a two-soldier rocket launcher team working in close coordination. Each figure is rendered in sharp, characterful detail, from the heavy greatcoats and buckled leather harnesses to the gas mask lenses, steel helmets, and worn ammunition crates. The Doomsday Heavy squad brings real weight and tactical presence to any grimdark infantry force.

Sculpted by DakkaDakka, this squad sits comfortably alongside their existing range of large-scale grimdark infantry and vehicle kits.

Models are supplied unpainted and some assembly is required.

Painting Guide: The Doomsday Heavy Fire Support Squad

This squad rewards a methodical approach. Work through each figure in stages to keep the palette cohesive across the whole unit, and let the grimdark grit come through in the weathering pass.

1. Prime

  • Prime in grey or black for a dark, gritty base that suits the heavy infantry aesthetic.

2. Armour Base

  • Base the greatcoats and helmets in Castellan Green or Russian Uniform for a worn military tone.
  • Apply Zandri Dust or Rakarth Flesh to the sandbags and any canvas straps.

3. Trim and Details

  • Paint all leather harnesses, belts, and boots in Rhinox Hide, then highlight with Skrag Brown.
  • Pick out goggle lenses with Mephiston Red for a sinister, tinted glass effect.

4. Weapons

  • Base the cannon barrel, mortar tube, and rocket launcher in Leadbelcher, then wash with Nuln Oil.
  • Highlight metal edges with Ironbreaker to bring out the machined surfaces.

5. Weathering

  • Stipple Typhus Corrosion onto the cannon shield, ammunition crates, and mortar for aged, battle-worn texture.
  • Apply Agrax Earthshade as a pin wash into recesses across all figures to deepen the shadows.

6. Bases

  • Paint the oval bases with Stirland Mud texture paint, dry-brush with Ushabti Bone, and finish with a few tufts of dead grass for a war-torn ground effect.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
