Rustland's Wolves Pack Leaders are the four fighters who have already earned the right to point and be obeyed. Where the New Blood are still proving themselves and the Raiders are the muscle, the Pack Leaders are the ones who survived long enough to matter. Each figure stands at 32mm and arrives as a physical resin miniature with supports already removed and cleaned, ready to assemble and paint.

The squad covers a genuine spread of combat roles and character. A broad, bald bruiser in goggles and an open jacket carries a heavy assault rifle, a wolf pelt hanging from his belt and a gang emblem pressed into the back of his jacket. A lean, helmeted enforcer with spiked shoulder armour holds a pistol out in one hand and a serrated blade in the other, stripped to the waist and built like someone the Rustlands has not managed to kill yet. A powerfully built female leader carries a massive shoulder-mounted cannon with the kind of steady stance that says she has fired it before. The fourth figure wears a respirator and raised goggles, one arm ending in a heavy mechanical claw raised ready to close.

Five weapon parts are included: a rocket pistol, a knife, a plasma pistol, an auto pistol, and a steel pipe, giving real flexibility when it comes to arming the open-handed figures to fit your roster. Sculpted by 42studio, the Pack Leaders set is designed to sit at the top of the Rustland's Wolves range and serve as the commanding presence on your warband's frontline.

Supplied unpainted. Assembly may be required for some figures.

Painting Guide: Rustland's Wolves - Pack Leaders

The Pack Leaders reward a gritty, worn palette that shows hard miles and harder choices. Keep the tones dark and earthy with sharp edge highlights to let the detail on each figure read clearly at arm's length.

1. Prime

  • Spray with a dark grey or matt black primer to give paint solid adhesion and keep the deep recesses shadowed from the start.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat leather straps and jackets in a dark brown such as Rhinox Hide or Mournfang Brown.
  • Paint hard armour plates and metal shoulder pads in a dark iron tone like Leadbelcher or similar metallic grey.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out studs, buckles, and collar rings in brass or bronze for a worn industrial look.
  • Paint skin in a mid-tone flesh and shade with a brown wash to bring out muscle and scar detail.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat gun bodies in dark gunmetal and drybrush lightly with a brighter silver to lift the raised edges.
  • Pick out grips and stocks in a contrasting dark colour such as black or very deep brown to separate them from the metal barrel.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a thinned brown or black wash across the whole figure and let it pool in the recesses for a grimy field look.
  • Stipple rust tones onto armour plates and weapon edges using a torn piece of blister foam for a rough, uneven texture.

6. Bases

  • Use a cracked earth texture paste or coarse sand painted in dusty ochre and grey tones to suggest a parched, industrial wasteland. Finish with a few scattered pieces of grit or small debris for variety.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
