Rangers of the No Man's Land meets its most unsettling figure yet in the Battle Nurse, a lone medic who has walked the scorched frontier long enough to stop flinching at the sound of a saw. Robed in a tattered habit riddled with holes and held together by sheer determination, she stands with a bone saw in hand and a gas mask strapped tight over her face, a cross pressed into the filter housing like a small act of faith in a place that has run out of it. A worn belt pouches and a heavy pack marked with the same cross symbol sit across her back, practical tools for a woman who understands that survival in the No Man's Land is a craft, not a miracle.

The figure captures the dust-soaked, sun-bleached atmosphere that defines this range. The cloth of her robe falls in deep, believable folds, ragged at the hem where the terrain has taken its toll. Her posture is calm and deliberate, the kind of stillness that suggests she has already decided what needs to be done. Every surface is loaded with paintable texture, from the ribbed seals of the gas mask to the rough fabric of the habit and the worn grip of the saw.

1. Prime

• Use a mid-grey or off-white spray primer to preserve the fine surface detail on the gas mask and cloth folds

2. Armour Base

• Base the habit and headpiece in a warm off-white such as Rakarth Flesh or Ushabti Bone
• Shade the recesses with a thin wash of Agrax Earthshade or Seraphim Sepia to push depth into the folds

3. Trim and Details

• Pick out the gas mask, belt, and boots in a mid-brown leather tone such as Rhinox Hide or XV-88 highlighted up with Balor Brown
• Paint the cross symbols in a muted bone or aged brass to keep them visible without being garish

4. Weapons

• Base the bone saw in Leadbelcher and wash with Nuln Oil for a cold metal finish
• Drybrush selectively with Stormhost Silver on the teeth to suggest a freshly worked edge

5. Weathering

• Stipple diluted Rhinox Hide along the hem of the habit and around the boots to suggest ground-level dust and grime
• Add thin streaks of rust using Skrag Brown and a fine brush down metal edges and rivets on the pack

6. Bases

• Pair with cracked earth texture paste in pale ochre, add a sparse dry tufts and a fragment of bone or wood debris to reinforce the frontier wasteland setting
