The Pandemic Destroyer Squad arrives as a four-model physical resin build kit, sculpted with an exceptional level of grimdark detail and ready to assemble and paint straight out of the box. Supports have already been removed and surfaces cleaned, so you can get straight to the hobby the moment it lands on your doorstep. Each model measures 40mm from feet to eyes, giving these warriors a commanding presence on the tabletop.
This kit is built for variety. Across 38 unique parts you get 4 distinct bodies, 5 heads, 10 shoulder pads, and 19 hands and weapons, including corrupted claw arms, plague-encrusted firearms, spiked melee weapons, and a sinister staff. The sheer number of options means no two squads need ever look alike, and every model in your warband can feel truly individual. The bodies are heavily detailed with exposed ribbing, corroded plating, and organic growths that ooze character before a single drop of paint is applied.
Designed by DakkaDakka, this squad fits naturally into any grimdark force built around contagion, entropy, and relentless advance. The scale and bulk of each warrior makes them read clearly at arm's length on the gaming table, while the surface detail rewards close inspection and careful brush work.
Whether you are building a full corrupted warband or reinforcing an existing force, the Pandemic Destroyer Squad delivers the kind of modelling and painting satisfaction that keeps hobbyists coming back to the workbench.
Painting Guide: Pandemic Destroyer Squad (build kit)These models reward a layered, organic approach. Lean into contrast, decay, and verdigris to bring out the corruption baked into every surface.
1. Prime
- Prime with a grey or bone spray for a neutral mid-tone base that works with both warm and cool palettes.
- A zenithal white highlight over grey adds instant depth before any paint is applied.
2. Armour Base
- Apply a dark, desaturated green such as Death World Forest or Castellan Green across all armour panels.
- Wash with Agrax Earthshade and Nurgle's Rot mixed for a grimy, diseased undershade.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out raised trim and exposed bone with Rakarth Flesh, then wash with Reikland Fleshshade.
- Highlight bone areas up to Ushabti Bone for a weathered, yellowed finish.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat metal parts with Leadbelcher and wash with Nuln Oil for a grimy, dark steel look.
- Edge highlight with Ironbreaker and add rust spots using Skrag Brown stippled with a torn blister foam.
5. Weathering
- Stipple Nurgle's Rot into recesses and on organic growths for a wet, festering effect.
- Add chipping with Abaddon Black and Stormhost Silver on armour edges to suggest heavily battered plate.
6. Bases
- Use texture paste in a muddy brown tone, add tufts of dead grass, and finish with a thin gloss varnish on wet areas to suggest a plague-soaked battlefield.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
