Malyn Vilechant is a sinister and captivating Human Witch rendered as a finely detailed 32mm resin miniature, supplied as a physical, ready-to-paint collectible. This two-pose product presents Malyn from both the front and rear, allowing collectors to appreciate the full scope of the sculpt before assembly and painting begin. She arrives with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, so you can move straight to priming.

The sculpt captures Malyn mid-stride, her hooded cloak billowing as she raises a bone-adorned chain whip in one hand. Her belt and accessories are decorated with sculpted skulls, and her flowing robes carry intricate geometric patterns across the back. The second pose highlights a large ornate scythe hung with rattling skull trophies on chains, a weapon that speaks to dark ritual and battlefield harvest. Every surface rewards careful brushwork, from the layered fabric folds to the delicate bone detailing.

Malyn Vilechant draws clear inspiration from death-cult arcana, necromantic covenant aesthetics, and the grim folklore of wandering hedge witches who trade in cursed relics and harvested souls. She would fit naturally into any dark fantasy warband, a lone mercenary, a coven leader, or a villain at the heart of your narrative campaign. This piece was sculpted by Haito, whose eye for character and dark detail is evident across every surface of the miniature. The miniature stands at approximately 32mm scale and is cast in high-quality grey resin, giving clean edges and crisp detail throughout.

This physical resin miniature is sold unpainted and may require minor assembly depending on pose selection. Superglue is recommended for bonding. Painting supplies are sold separately.

Painting Guide: Malyn Vilechant - Human Witch

The following guide is written for intermediate painters and covers the key areas of this complex sculpt, helping you bring Malyn Vilechant to life on the tabletop with a dark, atmospheric palette.

1. Prime

  • Apply a zenithal prime using black from below and light grey from directly above to establish natural shadow and highlight pre-shading across the cloak and skin.
  • Ensure the fine skull details and chain links are fully coated before moving on.

2. Armour Base

  • Paint the geometric cloak panels with a deep forest green such as Caliban Green, then layer with Warpstone Glow for edge highlights on the raised chevrons.
  • Block in exposed skin areas with Cadian Fleshtone, working in thin coats to preserve surface texture.

3. Trim and Details

  • Paint all skull motifs, bone chains, and skeletal belt decorations with Rakarth Flesh, then wash with Agrax Earthshade to settle the tone into the recesses.
  • Highlight skull crowns with Pallid Wych Flesh to give them an aged, sun-bleached quality.

4. Weapons

  • For the scythe blade, basecoat with Leadbelcher, wash with Nuln Oil, and edge highlight with Stormhost Silver to suggest a cold, honed edge.
  • Paint the chain whip with Balthasar Gold, shade with Agrax Earthshade, and selectively highlight with Liberator Gold for worn metallic contrast.

5. Weathering

  • Add light stippling of Typhus Corrosion to the scythe handle and chain links to simulate age and grime accumulated from years of dark ritual work.
  • Apply a thin glaze of Druchii Violet to the inner folds of the cloak to suggest shadow and a faint supernatural aura.

6. Bases

  • The sculpted rocky base suits a cracked wasteland theme. Paint the rock surfaces with Mechanicus Standard Grey, wash with Agrax Earthshade, and drybrush with Administratum Grey for a bleached stone effect.
  • Add a small amount of dead static grass or fine gravel around the edges for ground texture before sealing the miniature with a matte varnish.
