This figure cuts an imposing silhouette on the tabletop. Armed with a broad infantry sword and a large ornate shield bearing a laurel wreath emblem, she stands in a determined combat stance that radiates authority. A tattered banner pole rises from her backpack, topped with a skull finial, and a flowing cape billows behind her to add dramatic movement to the pose. This guide walks through a grimdark colour scheme that suits the religious-military aesthetic of the figure, with battle-worn armour, warm candlelight on the base, and cold steel weapons.

1. Prime

• Prime with a grey or black spray primer to establish strong shadows across the recessed armour panels and cloak folds.

2. Armour Base

• Basecoat the plate armour with a dark blue-grey tone to suggest aged, campaigned steel.
• Apply a thin coat of a slightly lighter mid-grey to raised surfaces, building contrast before shading.

3. Trim and Details

• Pick out the belt buckle, shield laurel, and armour rivets in a muted brass or aged gold.
• Wash the entire model with a dark brown or black shade to deepen recesses and unify tones across the armour plates.

4. Weapons

• Basecoat the sword blade in a cold steel tone, then edge highlight the tip and cutting edge with a bright silver.
• Paint the grip wrap in a dark leather brown and apply a light drybrush of tan to suggest wear.

5. Weathering

• Add small chips and scratches to the armour edges using a fine brush and a mix of dark brown and silver.
• Apply a subtle rust wash around rivets and joints to suggest long service in the field.

6. Bases

• Drybrush the runic stonework tiles in successive layers of dark grey, mid-grey, and off-white for aged stone. Paint candle flames in yellow-orange with a bright yellow tip. Finish skulls in bone with a brown wash in the recesses.
