The Legio Arteimis Eruptrix Squad arrives as a five-model physical resin miniature kit, sculpted with an exceptional level of grimdark detail and ready to assemble and paint straight out of the box. Supports have already been removed and surfaces cleaned, so you can get straight to the hobby the moment it lands on your doorstep. Each model measures 32mm from feet to eyes.

This squad of battle-worn warrior sisters cuts an imposing silhouette on the tabletop. Each figure is rendered in heavy plate armour trimmed with burnished gold, draped in flowing red cloaks and hooded cowls that speak to a martial religious order steeped in grim ritual. The squad carries a varied arsenal including spiked maces, broad-bladed axes, and a long pole weapon fitted with a skull and LEGIO banner plate, alongside large rectangular shields bearing heraldic chapter devices. Roman-style transverse crests top their helmets, and fleur-de-lis iconography marks their allegiance throughout the sculpts. The five poses range from a composed sentinel stance to a full battle-cry charge, giving the unit real visual dynamism when ranked up together.

Sculpted by DakkaDakka, these models bring the same meticulous attention to layered armour panels, leather strapping, and characterful facial expressions found across the rest of the range. The Legio Arteimis Eruptrix Squad will slot comfortably into any grimdark military order warband as a front-line infantry unit or elite guard detachment.

Each kit ships as a pre-printed physical resin product. Assembly and painting are required. Plastic glue is not suitable for resin, so a cyanoacrylate adhesive is recommended.

Painting Guide: Legio Arteimis Eruptrix Squad (x5)

The colour scheme shown across the studio models uses a cool blue-grey armour contrasted against deep crimson textiles and warm gold trim. The guide below will help you recreate that look or adapt it to your own chapter colours.

1. Prime

  • Prime the models with a grey or black spray primer for good adhesion and to preserve fine surface detail.
  • A zenithal white mist from above after the base prime adds natural pre-shading that speeds up later highlights.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat all armour plates with a desaturated blue-grey such as Celestra Grey or an equivalent, thinned to a smooth coverage over two coats.
  • Shade the recesses with a blue-black wash, then layer highlights up toward the edges using a lighter blue-grey mix and finally a near-white edge highlight on raised corners.

3. Trim and Details

  • Paint all gold trim, belt buckles, and chapter icons with a mid-gold basecoat, wash with a brown shade, then re-highlight with a bright gold and a tiny dot of silver at peaks.
  • Block in all cloth elements including cloaks, hoods, and tasset strips with a deep red basecoat. Layer up with a brighter red on raised folds, and shade the deepest recesses with a dark brown or near-black wash.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat axe blades, mace heads, shield faces, and spear tips in a dark metallic grey. Apply a black wash and then drybrush with a bright silver, focusing on edges to suggest battlefield wear.
  • Paint wooden or resin pole sections in a medium brown, wash with a darker brown, and highlight with a lighter tan along the grain lines.

5. Weathering

  • Apply fine chips to armour edges using a small sponge dipped in a dark brown paint, concentrating on knee guards, pauldrons, and shield rims.
  • Add subtle rust streaking below rivets and along the lower legs using a thin orange-brown glaze dragged downward with a damp brush.

6. Bases

  • Texture the bases with a slate and sand mix, prime grey, drybrush stone colours, and finish with a dark brown wash to tie the model to the groundwork.
  • Add tufts or dried grass flock to break up the surface and complement the warm tones of the red cloaks.
