Kaelara Iceblade is a fierce Human Barbarian miniature, cast in high-quality resin and delivered to you as a physical, ready-to-paint figure with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned. Standing approximately 32mm scale, this single-character model arrives in a squad size of 1 and captures a warrior in a commanding combat stance, her greatsword raised overhead and a secondary blade at her hip, her long hair swept back as though mid-charge across a frozen battlefield.

The sculpt is packed with character. Kaelara wears layered plate and chainmail across her shoulders, wrapped leather greaves, and carries a belt pouch and runic arm tattoos that hint at a brutal northern heritage. Her base features jagged rock formations and shattered stone, giving the model a dynamic, story-driven feel straight out of the box. Every surface rewards careful brushwork, with deep recesses for washes and broad flat planes for freehand work or blending.

This physical resin miniature of Kaelara Iceblade is an excellent centrepiece for any warband, skirmish force, or display shelf. The level of sculpted detail reflects the craft of a dedicated studio sculptor, and the dynamic pose ensures she commands attention whether painted to a tabletop standard or pushed to competition quality. This piece was sculpted by Haito, whose eye for expressive poses and fine surface detail is evident across every element of the model. Two poses are visible from the product images, allowing painters to compare front and rear detail before picking up a brush.

Ideal for fans of brutal, northern warrior archetypes, grimdark fantasy campaigns, and resin miniature collecting. Supplied unpainted and unassembled if multi-part.

Painting Guide: Kaelara Iceblade - Human Barbarian

Follow these steps to bring Kaelara Iceblade to life with a cold, battle-worn palette suited to her icy namesake and savage northern origins.

1. Prime

  • Apply a zenithal prime using grey from below and white from above to establish natural light and shadow before any colour is added.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat the plate sections with a pale bone or off-white, such as Ushabti Bone or Rakarth Flesh, to keep the armour looking weathered rather than polished.
  • Basecoat the chainmail areas with a mid-grey such as Mechanicus Standard Grey.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out the leather straps and wrappings with Rhinox Hide, then highlight with Doombull Brown for a worn, tanned look.
  • Paint the runic tattoos and arm markings with a deep blue-grey such as Thunderhawk Blue to suggest ritual ink faded over years of combat.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat the greatsword blade with Celestra Grey, shade with Drakenhof Nightshade to push a cold blue tone into the recesses, and edge highlight with White Scar for a frost-touched finish.
  • Paint the hilt and pommel with Balthasar Gold, shade with Agrax Earthshade, and pick out raised edges with Runefang Steel.

5. Weathering

  • Apply chips and scratches to the armour using a torn sponge and Rhinox Hide, followed by a lighter scratch in Runefang Steel to simulate battle damage.
  • Add a thin wash of Agrax Earthshade to the lower legs and base contact points to suggest mud and grime from hard terrain.

6. Bases

  • Drybrush the rocky base with Administratum Grey then White Scar, add a thin wash of Nuln Oil into the crevices, and finish with a light frost effect on the crystal shards using PVA and fine baking soda sealed with matte varnish.
