Forgotten Champions brings you Gorvak Ironscar, a colossal Giant warrior sculpted by Haito and ready to dominate your tabletop battlefield. Standing as one of the most imposing single-model releases in the range, this resin miniature captures every snarling detail of a towering bruiser who has carved his legend across countless broken enemies.
Gorvak is depicted mid-stride across a rubble-strewn battlefield base, littered with fallen blades and skulls. His right arm drives a brutal ornate axe over his shoulder while his left grips a massive two-handed sword pointed skyward. His flowing hair, layered armour plates, beaded necklace and wrapped forearms all speak to a warrior culture built on iron will and raw power. The scenic base measures approximately 60mm in diameter, with the model itself reaching roughly 75mm in height, making him an unmistakable centrepiece for any force.
This is a single-model squad release designed for players who want a hard-hitting elite unit or a commanding warlord figure. The level of sculpted detail across Gorvak Ironscar rewards careful painting and makes him equally at home as a display piece or a game piece. Resin casting preserves the sharpness of every scale, rivet and muscle group.
Sculpted by Haito as part of the Forgotten Champions Giant faction inspiration, Gorvak Ironscar is supplied unpainted and unassembled. Resin model. Suitable for ages 15 and over. Hobby knife and adhesive required.
Painting Guide: Gorvak Ironscar - GiantThis guide will help you bring Gorvak to life with a gritty, battle-worn palette befitting the Forgotten Champions aesthetic. Focus on contrast, deep shadows and chipped metal to emphasise his size and ferocity.
1. Prime
- Apply a grey or bone zenithal prime to establish light direction from above, helping shadows settle naturally into the deep recesses of his armour and cloth.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat armour plates with a warm mid-tone brown or aged bone to suggest worn, sun-bleached material rather than polished metal.
- Apply a thin wash of sepia or dark brown across all armour sections to deepen recesses and define panel lines.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint decorative trim, bead necklace and armour rings with a tarnished bronze or dull gold, keeping it desaturated to maintain the Forgotten Champions grimdark tone.
- Highlight raised edges with a lighter gold or pale brass by drybrushing lightly across borders and raised sculpted ornaments.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the axe head and sword blade with a dark steel, then edge highlight with a bright silver on the sharpened edges only.
- Add a subtle rust wash to the flat of the blades and the weapon hafts to suggest age and heavy use.
5. Weathering
- Stipple chipped paint effects onto armour plates using a torn blister foam and dark brown followed by a thin silver highlight to simulate battle damage.
- Apply a thin mud texture or pigment powder to boots and the lower legs to ground him convincingly on his scenic rocky base.
6. Bases
- Drybrush the rubble and broken stone base with light grey and bone tones, then paint the embedded swords in dark steel with rust effects, and finish skull details with ivory highlighted with white.
