Forgotten Champions rise from the ruins of a shattered world, and none stand taller than Azurr the Guardian, a colossal giant draped in battle-worn armour and fur-lined pauldrons, ready to crush any who dare oppose him. This single resin miniature, sculpted by Haito, captures the raw brutality and imposing scale of a faction-inspiring giant warrior, standing proud on a detailed rubble base scattered with broken timber and chains.
Azurr looms over the battlefield wielding a massive wrapped greatsword, his spiked helm and layered plate armour telling the story of a hundred brutal campaigns. Every rivet, buckle, and torn cloth strip has been sculpted with extraordinary depth, making this model a centrepiece worthy of any warband or display collection. At approximately 75mm to the top of his helm, he towers above standard infantry with undeniable presence.
Whether you are expanding a giants-inspired warband or building a fearsome solo champion for narrative play, Azurr delivers the grimdark weight that serious collectors demand. The front and rear sculpt showcase equal detail, rewarding painters who want to explore every angle of this formidable warrior.
This listing includes one unpainted resin miniature of Azurr the Guardian on a scenic oval base. Miniature requires assembly and priming before painting. Resin may require light cleaning before use. Part of the Forgotten Champions range, designed for collectors who refuse to settle for ordinary.
Painting Guide: Azurr the Guardian - GiantAzurr rewards a methodical approach. This guide helps you bring one of the finest Forgotten Champions to life with a grimdark palette that emphasises age, battle damage, and sheer intimidation.
1. Prime
- Apply a black primer spray as a base coat to deepen recesses across the armour and fur
- Follow with a zenithal highlight of grey primer from above to establish natural light direction
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat all plate armour with a dark iron metallic, working in thin layers to preserve detail
- Apply a heavy wash of dark brown and black mixed to shade rivets, joints, and panel edges
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out buckles and belt details with a warm bronze tone, leaving shadow in the recesses
- Paint the fur mantle and cloth wrappings in a desaturated off-white, shaded with thin grey washes
4. Weapons
- Paint the wrapped greatsword blade with a cold steel tone, drybrushed to bring out the edge
- Add brown and dark leather tones to the wrapped hilt and bindings for contrast against the metal
5. Weathering
- Stipple chipping effects across armour plates using a torn blister foam and dark brown paint
- Apply rust streaks from rivets using diluted orange and brown, pulling downward with a fine brush
6. Bases
- Drybrush timber logs and rubble with sandy grey tones, wash with dark brown, and finish with static grass tufts at the base rim to ground Azurr among the Forgotten Champions collection
