The Witnesses of The Great Harvest are a chilling warband of alien cultists clad in brutal sci-fi armour, their bodies fused with organic tendrils and bladed limbs that speak of dark devotion to an ancient and terrible power. Each figure stands 24mm from feet to eyes, placing them firmly in the 32mm scale range and making them ideal companions or adversaries for squad-based grimdark wargaming.
This set contains five assembled resin miniatures, supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready for you to paint and base. The squad includes four heavily armoured warriors in dynamic combat poses and one cloaked champion bearing a towering skull-topped standard. With 66 unique parts used across the five models, every fighter in the warband has its own distinct silhouette and weapon loadout, from raking taloned gauntlets to short blades and sidearms.
A full build-kit is also available separately, offering 112 parts across a broad range of arms, torsos, leg variants, cloaks, heads, and weapon options so you can assemble your own unique configurations of the Witnesses of The Great Harvest. The kit supports extensive posing variety and allows you to tailor each model to your preferred wargaming rules and aesthetic.
Cast in high-detail grey resin, these miniatures capture every sculpted texture, from ribbed armour plating and exposed cabling to the flowing folds of tattered robes and the gnashing details of alien faces. They are fully compatible with standard 32mm round bases.
Painting Guide: Witnesses of The Great HarvestThe painted studio example shows a purple-toned skin with gold trim and red cloth, giving the warband a rich and sinister appearance. The steps below follow this scheme closely.
1. Prime
- Apply a light grey or white primer spray to preserve fine detail across armour edges and face sculpts.
- A zenithal black undercoat beneath the grey prime adds instant depth to recessed areas.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat armour panels in a mid-purple such as Xereus Purple or Naggaroth Night.
- Layered highlight with a lighter purple mixed with a touch of pale blue on raised edges.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint all trim, buckles, and mechanical fittings with Retributor Armour or Gehenna's Gold.
- Shade the gold areas with Agrax Earthshade to settle it into recesses and age the metal.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat blades in Leadbelcher, then edge highlight with Stormhost Silver for a sharp battle-worn finish.
- Organic tendril limbs suit a pale bone tone such as Ushabti Bone, shaded with Reikland Fleshshade.
5. Weathering
- Apply a diluted brown wash over armour seams to suggest grime and long campaigns.
- Stipple chipping on shoulder plates using a torn blister foam and a dark grey-brown mix.
6. Bases
- Use a fine black sand or texture paste for the base surface, drybrushed with a warm grey to lift the texture.
- Add a red or hazard stripe to the base rim to tie the warband together on the tabletop.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
