This Fantasy Warrior Dark Angel miniature is a stunning single-character resin figurine designed for collectors, painters, and tabletop RPG enthusiasts who demand exceptional detail in every piece they add to their collection. Sculpted as part of the Fantasy Warrior Line 8 series, this piece depicts a powerful winged warrior clad in ornate dark armour, wielding a long bladed spear and raising a horned skull trophy aloft in her gauntleted fist. Her massive feathered wings spread wide in a commanding display of dark celestial power, making her an immediate focal point on any shelf or gaming table.
The miniature is available in two wing configurations. Option 1 features the wings in a fully spread dramatic pose. Option 2 includes separated wing sections for easier assembly and storage. Two base options are also included: a jagged crystal formation base and a sweeping ring-of-flames style base, giving you the freedom to choose the presentation that suits your display style. The figure stands at 80mm scale, with a 32mm version also available, and arrives as a physical resin miniature with supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and prime. This Fantasy Warrior is fully ready for the painting table the moment it arrives.
Whether you are running a dark fantasy campaign, building a display cabinet centrepiece, or hunting for a powerful solo character model for Pathfinder or other tabletop systems, the Dark Angel delivers presence and menace in equal measure. Her pointed ears, glowing eye sockets, layered plate armour and talon-adorned boots give her an unmistakably sinister celestial character rooted in high fantasy lore.
Painting Guide: Fantasy Warrior Dark Angel MiniatureThe following guide is designed to help you bring this Fantasy Warrior to life with a dark, otherworldly colour palette that suits her fallen celestial aesthetic.
1. Prime
- Apply a black primer spray coat evenly across all surfaces, including the wings and base details.
- Once dry, apply a zenithal highlight using a grey or off-white primer from above to establish light direction.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the plate armour in a deep charcoal or dark steel, such as Vallejo Dark Sea Grey or Citadel Abaddon Black mixed with Leadbelcher.
- Apply a smooth midtone layer of cold gunmetal on raised armour panels to build contrast.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out the armour trim, runes, and leaf-shaped detailing in a tarnished gold, such as Retributor Armour shaded with Agrax Earthshade.
- Paint the wing feather shafts in bone or pale ivory to separate them visually from the darker body armour.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the spear blade in a bright silver and shade with a dark wash to create depth in the engraved channels.
- Add edge highlights of pure silver or mithril silver along the blade edges to give the weapon a razor-sharp finish.
5. Weathering
- Apply a thin oil wash of raw umber across the entire model and wipe back with a clean brush to settle pigment into recesses.
- Add chipping effects to the armour using a torn blister foam sponge dabbed in dark grey and silver for a battle-worn appearance.
6. Bases
- For the crystal base, paint the formations in deep teal or purple and apply multiple glazes to build inner luminosity, finishing with a gloss varnish on the tips.
- For the flame ring base, blend from deep crimson at the roots through orange to pale yellow at the tips, then seal with a satin varnish for a heat-scorched effect.
