The War Sisters Head Bits Valiant Heart Set delivers five highly detailed resin head sculpts designed to bring character and distinction to your holy warrior force. Four of the five heads feature ornate full-face helms decorated with fleur-de-lis motifs, scrollwork, and riveted visors, while the fifth presents an unhelmed female fighter with flowing hair, giving your squad a commanding focal point. Every piece arrives as a physical resin casting, supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready to assemble and paint straight out of the box.

Supplied unpainted.

Sculpted by DakkaDakka, these heads sit within a broader range of pious, heavily armoured warriors and share the same aesthetic language as the rest of that catalogue. The ornamental detail on each visor plate and the quality of the hair sculpt on the bare head make these a strong choice for anyone converting a squad of devout soldiers or adding variety to an existing unit.

The heads are sized to fit standard 28-32mm scale female warrior bodies and are cast in high-quality grey resin with crisp surface detail throughout. Five heads per set means a full squad refresh in one purchase, and the mix of visored and unhelmed options gives you flexibility in how your unit reads on the table.

These War Sisters Head Bits pair especially well with armoured torsos and robed leg components if you are building a coherent warband from scratch.

Painting Guide: War Sisters Head Bits Valiant Heart Set x5

The ornate helms reward a layered approach that builds depth into the engraved details, while the bare head benefits from careful skin and hair work to create contrast against the armoured pieces around it.

1. Prime

  • Apply a thin, even coat of grey or white spray primer to bring out the fine scrollwork and visor detail.
  • For the bare head, a light grey or off-white prime gives a neutral base for skin tones.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat the helms in a cold silver or steel metallic such as Leadbelcher or Scale75 Speed Metal.
  • Alternatively, try a deep cream or bone basecoat for a more parchment-coloured crusader aesthetic.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out the fleur-de-lis and scrollwork in a contrasting gold or brass to make the decorative elements pop.
  • Use a fine detail brush and thin your paint well to keep crisp edges on the raised relief work.

4. Weapons

  • The visor bars and ventilation holes read well with a deep shadow wash applied over silver to suggest depth and shadow.
  • Add edge highlights with a brighter silver to restore the metallic sheen after washing.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a light stipple of dark brown or rust around the visor edges to suggest campaign wear.
  • Keep weathering subtle on the fleur-de-lis trim to imply a well-maintained ceremonial piece.

6. Bases

  • As head bits these will be assembled onto bodies, so match your basing material and palette to whichever set you are combining them with for a unified result.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
