The Vanguard Assault Carrier is a hulking, battle-hardened armoured transport built for the grinding brutality of grimdark warfare. Designed to punch through enemy lines and deliver elite infantry directly into the heart of the conflict, this imposing vehicle commands the battlefield with raw, industrial menace. Available in both wheeled and tracked variants, each version captures a distinct tactical identity while sharing the same brutal, utilitarian aesthetic that defines frontline armoured warfare at its most unforgiving.

This physical resin miniature arrives with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready for assembly and painting. Scaled for 28mm and 32mm wargaming, the carrier sits comfortably alongside standard infantry and vehicle ranges. The model features a fully detailed hull with riveted armour plating, angled reactive armour sections along the flanks, a rotating turret mounting a multi-barrelled rotary cannon, secondary weapon hardpoints, sensor clusters, external cabling, and a working rear assault ramp. The heavy armour plating and layered surface detail on this vehicle respond brilliantly to panel-shade and filter techniques. The steps below walk through a battle-worn battlefield finish.

1. Prime

• Clean resin with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry fully before priming.
• Apply a grey or black spray primer in thin, even coats, reaching into recesses around the track guards and hull panels.

2. Armour Base

• Basecoat the hull with your chosen armour colour. Olive drab, urban grey, or dark forest green all suit this silhouette well.
• Apply a zenithal highlight by drybrushing or airbrishing a lighter shade from above to establish light direction across the angled panels.

3. Trim and Details

• Pick out hatches, sensor lenses, and external cabling in contrasting colours such as dark metals or muted blacks.
• Paint rivets and bolt heads in a mid-steel tone to make the industrial detailing read clearly from table distance.

4. Weapons

• Basecoat the rotary cannon and secondary weapon barrels in a dark iron or gunmetal, then drybrush with a bright silver toward the barrel ends.
• Add a thin brown or black oil wash into the barrel recesses to suggest carbon fouling and heat discolouration.

5. Weathering

• Apply a brown or dark grey panel line wash across all recessed panel lines and around hatches to create depth.
• Use a sponge or fine brush to stipple chipped paint effects along edges, corners, and the lower hull where road wear would be heaviest.
• Streak rust and grime washes downward from exhaust vents, bolt holes, and along the rear ramp hinge points.

6. Bases

• If basing the vehicle, texture paste, coarse sand, and rubble pieces work well. Dry mud effects applied to the lower track guards and wheel arches tie the model to its groundwork convincingly.
