This Trench Crusade style core set brings the Wraith Pilgrims warband to your tabletop in stunning physical resin. Each miniature arrives already printed, supports removed, and cleaned, ready for assembly and painting. The set contains approximately 16 individual models, ranging from robed flagellants and inquisitors to armed pilgrims carrying shovels, chains, rifles, and devotional relics. Every figure radiates a bleak, fanatical atmosphere rooted in a world where faith has curdled into something terrible and relentless.

Sculpted with exceptional detail, the Wraith Pilgrims feature tattered flowing robes torn at the hems, conical pointed hoods, ornate crosses and bells, and a blend of medieval religious iconography with grim battlefield hardware. The group includes named character types such as the Flagellant and the Inquisitor, each on a 32mm base. The varied poses and weapon loadouts make this a complete, narrative-rich warband straight out of the box.

Whether you are building a skirmish force or expanding a grimdark collection, this Trench Crusade style warband delivers the visual language of doomed devotion and holy war. The models are cast in high-resolution grey resin, capturing every frayed rope, rusted chain, and inscribed cross with fidelity that rewards careful painting.

Each model is supplied unpainted and may require minor assembly with plastic-compatible or resin-compatible adhesive. Bases are included.

Painting Guide: Trench Crusade style - Wraith Pilgrims Core Set

These models reward a muted, desaturated palette with targeted spot colour to draw the eye. A controlled contrast-wash approach works beautifully across the robes and armour of this Trench Crusade style warband.

1. Prime

  • Apply a grey or off-white zenithal prime from above to pre-shade the robes and establish the lighting direction before any colour is added.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat armour plates with a cold grey such as Mechanicus Standard Grey or equivalent.
  • Layer up with a lighter grey on raised edges, then apply a thin wash of Nuln Oil to deepen recesses.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out crosses, bells, and devotional tokens with tarnished gold using Retributor Armour or equivalent, then wash with Agrax Earthshade for an aged look.
  • Paint rope, cloth wrappings, and parchment in bone and sepia tones to keep the palette cohesive.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat firearms and bladed weapons with dark steel, then drybrush with Ironbreaker or equivalent for worn metallic highlights.
  • Add rust streaks on chains and flail heads using orange-brown stippled lightly with a torn sponge.

5. Weathering

  • Apply thin streaks of brown wash running vertically down robes to simulate grime and bloodstains from the crusade road.
  • Stipple a pale mud colour along hem edges and boot areas to ground the models in a battlefield environment.

6. Bases

  • Texture paste in a churned mud or ashen earth tone suits the bleak setting. Add a few tufts of dead grass and a spot of dark rust pigment powder near metal debris to complete the look.
