Trench Crusade style resin miniatures bring the horror and despair of a corrupted world to your tabletop, and these Slaves are among the most unsettling figures in any warband. Bound in heavy chains, masked in perforated iron helms, and draped in tattered robes, each figure radiates suffering and dread. Whether you are building a force of infernal oppressors or assembling a warband steeped in dark ritual, these models add immediate visual weight and narrative depth to any collection.

This set contains 2 physical resin miniatures, supplied with 25mm round bases. Each piece has been already printed in high-detail resin, with supports removed and surfaces cleaned, arriving ready to assemble and paint. One figure carries a heavy wooden board strapped across its shoulders, hunched under the weight of its burden. The second stands upright with one arm raised in a clawing gesture, chains coiling around its torso. Both wear oppressive iron masks and feature intricate surface detail across cloth, chain, and flesh alike.

Sculpted in a Trench Crusade style, these miniatures suit any grimdark wargame setting where faith, corruption, and brutal warfare collide. They work beautifully as rank-and-file fodder, objective markers, or narrative centrepieces in a larger force. The level of detail rewards careful painting and makes these models stand out on any display shelf or battlefield.

Scale: 25mm base size. Suitable for use with most 28mm to 32mm scale tabletop wargames. Resin miniatures may require light assembly with superglue. Painting and basing materials sold separately.

Painting Guide: Trench Crusade style - Slaves

These models reward a grimdark palette of muted flesh, corroded iron, and filthy cloth. The guide below walks through each stage from prime to finished base.

1. Prime

  • Apply a grey or black spray primer for maximum shadow retention across the deep recesses of chain and cloth.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat the iron masks and chain links with a dark metallic such as Leadbelcher or Gunmetal Grey.
  • Apply a heavy wash of Nuln Oil or Black Shade to push shadow deep into each link and perforation hole.

3. Trim and Details

  • Drybrush raised chain edges lightly with a bright silver to pick out wear and abrasion.
  • Paint the robes in a pale bone or dirty cream, then wash with Seraphim Sepia for a stained, aged effect.

4. Weapons

  • Paint the wooden board on the burdened figure with a mid-brown basecoat, then streak darker brown washes along the grain direction.
  • Add pale grey drybrush highlights to suggest splintered, weathered timber.

5. Weathering

  • Stipple rust tones such as orange-brown onto metal surfaces using a torn foam piece for a corroded, neglected look.
  • Add thin lines of dark red-brown to cloth hems and skin to suggest old bloodstains and grime.

6. Bases

  • Texture the 25mm bases with fine sand or a texture paste, paint dark brown, drybrush with pale stone, and finish with a few tufts of dead grass to reinforce the bleak, war-torn atmosphere.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
