This Trench Crusade style resin miniature brings the Prophet to life as a gaunt, skeletal herald of doom, arms outstretched and staff raised high as he proclaims the end of all things. Cast in high-detail resin and supplied as a physical, ready-to-paint model on a 32mm base, this figure captures every cracked bone, tattered cloak, and carved wooden sign bearing the words "The End Is Near" with striking clarity.

The Prophet stands alone as a single-model release, ideal as a character piece, objective marker, or cult leader for your grimdark warband. His dynamic pose conveys frenzied devotion, one hand clawing at the air while the other thrusts a ceremonial mace toward a blackened sky. The flowing cape and layered robes provide excellent surface area for blending and shading, making him a rewarding centrepiece for any collection built around the Trench Crusade style aesthetic.

Every model arrives with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned where needed. He is ready to assemble if you choose to adjust the pose, then prime and paint straight away. No additional printing or preparation is required on your end.

Whether you are building a warband of fanatical zealots or simply want a standout single model that embodies the Trench Crusade style, the Prophet delivers the grim theatricality the setting demands. Pair him with flagellants, wretched cultists, or similarly tortured devotees for a cohesive force that turns heads on any gaming table.

Painting Guide: Trench Crusade style - Prophet

This guide is designed to help you achieve a grimdark, desaturated look that suits the Trench Crusade style, with pallid flesh, aged wood, and rust-stained metal throughout.

1. Prime

  • Apply a coat of grey or off-white spray primer to preserve the fine detail on the skull, sign, and robes.
  • Zenithal highlight with white from above to establish natural light and shadow from the start.

2. Armour Base

  • Base the robes and cloak with a pale bone or aged linen colour such as Ushabti Bone or Zandri Dust.
  • Wash the entire fabric area with Seraphim Sepia or Agrax Earthshade, then pick out raised folds with a lighter highlight.

3. Trim and Details

  • Paint the wooden sign with Rhinox Hide, then drybrush with Karak Stone to bring out the carved lettering.
  • Use a thin wash of Agrax Earthshade in the recesses of the sign to suggest age and grime.

4. Weapons

  • Base the mace head with Leadbelcher and wash with Nuln Oil for a dark, tarnished steel effect.
  • Add selective highlights of Runefang Steel on the raised edges to keep the metal looking worn rather than bright.

5. Weathering

  • Apply Ryza Rust or a stippled mix of orange and brown to the metal fittings for a corroded finish.
  • Streak thin lines of diluted Seraphim Sepia downward from any metal rivets on the sign to suggest rust bleeding into the wood grain.

6. Bases

  • Texture the 32mm base with a mix of basing paste and fine grit, then paint in earthy browns and greys to evoke churned battlefield mud.
  • Add tufts of dead grass or small stones and finish with a matt varnish across the whole model to unify the palette and protect the paintwork.
