This Trench Crusade style Oracle is a single resin miniature cast in fine-detail grey resin, supplied on a 32mm round base and delivered ready to assemble and paint. The figure depicts a robed, masked seer clutching a long halberd polearm, its flowing cloak torn and billowing as though caught mid-stride across a blasted no-man's-land. Mechanical lenses replace the figure's eyes beneath its cowl, hinting at forbidden foresight wrested from the ruined heavens. Every surface is dense with sculpted detail: rope bindings, hanging reliquary tokens, chain links, and layered fabric that catches light beautifully at the painting stage.
Supports have already been removed and the casting has been cleaned, so you can move straight to priming. The miniature is ideal for grimdark wargaming, display painting, or expanding a warband that draws on dark theological aesthetics. The Trench Crusade style aesthetic blends trench-warfare horror with gothic religious iconography, making this Oracle a commanding centrepiece or elite support character in any appropriately themed force. Standing proud on its 32mm base, the model has excellent table presence and will read clearly from across a gaming table.
The polearm arm may require a small drop of superglue to seat fully depending on your preferred pose. We recommend handling the weapon tip with care during transport and storage, as fine resin points are delicate. No digital files are included. What you receive is the physical, pre-printed resin miniature itself, cleaned and ready for your hobby desk.
This miniature is produced by Crab Miniatures and sculpted with a strong Trench Crusade style identity. It is sold as a collector hobby item for adult painters and wargamers who appreciate highly detailed, characterful resin figures at the 32mm scale.
Painting Guide: Trench Crusade style - OracleThe Oracle rewards a muted, desaturated palette broken up by a single accent colour on the lenses or reliquary tokens. The guide below uses Citadel and Army Painter paints as reference points, but any equivalent range works well.
1. Prime
- Spray with a light grey or off-white primer to preserve the fine surface detail in the robes and mechanical head.
- Follow with a light zenithal dusting of white from above to establish pre-shading.
2. Armour Base
- Apply a thin coat of Rakarth Flesh or Pallid Wych Flesh across the robes for a bleached, dust-worn look.
- Wash the recesses with Agrax Earthshade diluted slightly to prevent tide marks on the broad cloth surfaces.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out rope bindings and chain links in Rhinox Hide, then highlight with Baneblade Brown.
- Paint the reliquary tokens in Brass Scorpion, shade with Reikland Fleshshade, and edge highlight with Gehenna's Gold.
4. Weapons
- Base the halberd shaft in Dryad Bark and drybrush lightly with Karak Stone to suggest worn wood.
- Paint the blade in Leadbelcher, wash with Nuln Oil, then apply a fine edge highlight of Stormhost Silver.
5. Weathering
- Stipple thinned Rhinox Hide along the hem of the robes to simulate mud and grime from the trenches.
- Apply a pin wash of Black Templar contrast paint into bolt heads and mechanical details on the head unit.
6. Bases
- Texture the 32mm base with a sandy paste or muddy texture paint, paint in dark earth tones, and finish with a few tufts of dead static grass for a blasted wasteland feel.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
