The Sightless Prince is a towering, multi-part physical resin miniature set designed for grimdark sci-fi wargaming and display collections. Standing 87mm from top to bottom, this imposing centrepiece depicts a terrifying alien predator leaping from a jagged rocky outcrop, its massive scything talons raised and its elongated, eyeless skull held high in a pose of absolute dominance. Below it, armoured soldiers are caught in a moment of desperate, futile resistance as smaller xenos creatures close in from every angle.

This set arrives as a physical resin miniature. Supports have already been removed and surfaces cleaned and sanded where needed. The kit is ready to assemble and paint straight out of the box. It includes the main creature, a detailed rock formation scenic base, two smaller xenos attendant figures, and a group of armoured human soldier victims, all fitting together on a single large round base to create a dramatic diorama-style centrepiece worthy of any display shelf or gaming table.

The Sightless Prince rewards careful painters with an incredible depth of sculptural detail. Chitinous plating, exposed musculature, layered bio-armour, and razor-edged talons provide countless opportunities for highlighting, blending, and contrast work. The human soldiers at the base add narrative weight and a useful scale reference that reinforces just how enormous the central creature is. This is a statement piece built for hobbyists who want something genuinely striking on the tabletop.

Squad size inferred from the images: 1 large centrepiece creature, 2 xenos attendants, and 3 human soldier figures, making a total of 6 individual models in the set.

Painting Guide: The Sightless Prince - Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures

The following guide is designed to help hobbyists achieve a striking result on The Sightless Prince using widely available paints and techniques suited to intermediate painters.

1. Prime

  • Apply a black or dark grey primer across all parts to enhance shadow depth in the recesses.
  • Follow with a zenithal highlight of white or light grey from directly above to establish pre-shading.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat the chitinous armour plates with a deep teal or dark navy blue.
  • Apply a thin layer of dark blue-grey over raised surfaces to begin the volume shading.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out the exposed muscle and skin areas with a muted purple or violet tone, then shade with a dark flesh wash.
  • Highlight the veins and ridges on the exposed skin with a pale lilac using a fine detail brush.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat the large scything talons with a warm bone or ivory tone, then wash with a brown ink to deepen the recesses.
  • Drybrush the talon edges with pale yellow to give them a sharp, worn appearance, suggesting lethal use.

5. Weathering

  • Use a sponge or stipple technique with dark brown to add battle-worn chipping to armour panels.
  • Apply thinned red-brown paint around claw tips and at contact points on the victim figures to suggest recent violence.

6. Bases

  • Drybrush the rocky scenic base with progressively lighter grey-green tones to create a natural stone effect, finishing with a pale cream highlight on the sharpest edges.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
