The Alcat Rats Heavy Infantry arrives as a set of ten physical resin miniatures, each standing 29mm from feet to eyes, cast in clean grey resin with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready to assemble and paint straight from the box. This is a full squad of grimdark line soldiers, built for the front and dressed for punishment, with layered flak armour, heavy greatcoat panels, knee guards, and a diverse arsenal of special and heavy weapons across the unit.

Supplied unpainted.

The ten figures cover a wide range of battlefield roles. A cloaked marksman shoulders an oversized long-las-style rifle. A grizzled, bare-headed sergeant chews a cigar and carries a large power weapon at his side. A grenadier holds a drum-fed launcher loaded and ready. A combat medic steps forward with a bone saw in one hand and a medical satchel marked with a cross at her feet. A fully enclosed visor-helmeted trooper advances with a support weapon held low, and the remaining troopers carry a varied spread of rifles and special arms. The kit also includes a generous sprue of alternate weapons and arms, giving you real options when assembling each figure to suit your force.

Sculpted by DakkaDakka, these miniatures carry the same sharp character detail found across the wider range, with expressive faces on unmasked figures, convincing fabric folds in the coats, and chunky weapon profiles that read well on the tabletop from arm's length.

Each miniature arrives physically printed and cleaned, ready for a primer coat. Assembly is required for any figures with separate arms or weapons, and all parts are included in the set.

Painting Guide: The Alcat Rats Heavy Infantry (x10)

The colour palette below is designed to match the studio paint scheme shown in the product photos, giving you a practical starting point for each of the ten models in the squad.

1. Prime

  • Prime all models with a grey or off-white zenithal spray to preserve shadow and highlight information before applying colour

2. Armour Base

  • Base the hard armour plates in a dark grey-green such as Castellan Green or Incubi Darkness
  • Apply a controlled wash of Agrax Earthshade or Nuln Oil into the recesses, then edge highlight with Administratum Grey on the sharpest corners

3. Trim and Details

  • Paint the greatcoat and leather panels with Rhinox Hide as a base, highlight up through Doombull Brown to Skrag Brown on raised folds
  • Pick out straps, pouches, and buckles in Mournfang Brown with fine Ushabti Bone highlights

4. Weapons

  • Base weapon bodies in Leadbelcher, wash with Nuln Oil, and dry brush lightly with Ironbreaker for a worn metal finish
  • Pick out wooden furniture and grips in Mournfang Brown highlighted with Tau Light Ochre

5. Weathering

  • Stipple thinned Rhinox Hide and Typhus Corrosion onto armour edges and boot toes to suggest field wear and mud
  • Add small rust streaks below bolt heads and vent slots using Ryza Rust applied with a fine brush

6. Bases

  • Base with Astrogranite Debris texture paint, wash with Agrax Earthshade, drybrush with Administratum Grey, and finish with a few tufts of dead grass for a wartorn urban or wasteland feel
