The Templar Scouts Squad brings five heavily armoured crusader recon warriors to your tabletop, each cast in high-quality grey resin and delivered as physical miniatures ready to assemble and paint. These figures stand approximately 32mm scale and combine gothic ecclesiastical iconography with brutal sci-fi wargear, making them a striking addition to any grimdark force. Supports have already been removed and each piece has been cleaned and prepared so you can move straight to the hobby bench.

Each member of the Templar Scouts Squad wears ornate powered armour adorned with iron crosses, winged chest emblems, chain skirts, and devotional reliefs. The squad carries an assortment of boltgun-pattern weapons in varied ready stances, giving the unit a dynamic, combat-ready silhouette on the battlefield. Fine surface details including skull knee guards, textured chainmail, and engraved shoulder insignia reward careful brushwork at every stage.

The rear armour panels feature embossed wing and cross motifs that catch the light beautifully once highlighted, and the helmet designs range from visored crusader styles to sensor-array configurations bristling with antennae. This Templar Scouts Squad is sculpted by Atlan Forge and represents some of their finest infantry work, blending medieval crusader heritage with far-future military brutalism in a cohesive and detailed package.

The set contains five individual resin miniatures. Bases are not included. Super glue is recommended for assembly where parts are separate. These figures are supplied unpainted.

Painting Guide: Templar Scouts Squad – Gothic Crusader Recon Miniatures

Follow these steps to bring your Templar Scouts Squad to life with a battle-worn crusader finish suited to a grimdark gothic aesthetic.

1. Prime

  • Apply a thin, even coat of grey or black spray primer to seal the resin surface and improve paint adhesion.
  • Allow to cure fully for at least 30 minutes before applying any paint.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat the armour plates with Mechanicus Standard Grey or a cold off-white such as Celestra Grey for a bone-white crusader look.
  • Apply thin coats to preserve the crisp edge detail on the shoulder pads and chest reliefs.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out the cross symbols, winged chest emblems, and devotional scrolls with Retributor Armour or Vallejo Gold to create a sacred, gilded contrast.
  • Paint the chainmail skirts with Leadbelcher, then wash with Nuln Oil to add depth to each link.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat the weapon housings with Abaddon Black and drybrush lightly with Ironbreaker for a metallic worn finish.
  • Pick out any heat vents or coil details with a rust-orange wash such as Fuegan Orange to suggest heat damage.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a controlled wash of Agrax Earthshade into the recesses of the armour and around the boot armour to simulate field grime.
  • Use a fine sponge or dry brush to stipple chipped grey over armour edges, then follow with a spot of dark brown underneath each chip for depth.

6. Bases

  • Texture paste or mixed grit sand glued to the base and painted in ochre and brown tones suits the barren wasteland aesthetic shown in the product renders.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
