Forgotten Champions brings you Talara, a savage and battle-hardened Human Barbarian ready to carve through the ruins of a dying world. Sculpted by Haito, this 32mm resin miniature captures the raw ferocity of a warrior who has survived where empires have crumbled, standing defiantly with her massive double-headed axe resting across her shoulders.

Talara's design blends brutal practicality with untamed spirit. Her leather-wrapped torso, layered belt pouches, fur-trimmed boots, and rune-etched greataxe tell the story of a fighter forged in conflict rather than comfort. The front and rear sculpts are both packed with intricate surface detail, from the engraved wheel motif on the axe blade to the stitched straps binding her legs.

This single-model kit from Forgotten Champions is ideal for dungeon crawl skirmish games, fantasy tabletop RPGs, or as a centrepiece display piece. The round rubble-textured base adds immediate battlefield context and pairs perfectly with painted stone or ashen wasteland basing schemes.

Supplied as an unpainted resin miniature. Some assembly and cleanup may be required. Not suitable for children under 15 years of age.

Painting Guide: Talara - Human Barbarian

Talara rewards a gritty, desaturated palette that emphasises weathering and hard-won survival. This guide will help you bring this Forgotten Champions warrior to life with depth and atmosphere.

1. Prime

  • Apply a zenithal prime using black from below and bone white from above to pre-shade natural highlights across the sculpt.

2. Armour Base

  • Base coat leather armour panels in Rhinox Hide, then layer up with Mournfang Brown and Skrag Brown toward raised edges.
  • Paint the fur trim with a basecoat of Baneblade Brown, drybrushed with Screaming Skull for depth.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out belt buckles, rings, and clasps with Leadbelcher, shaded with Nuln Oil.
  • Paint fabric wrappings in Rakarth Flesh with a Agrax Earthshade wash to add grime and shadow.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat the axe haft with Gorthor Brown and highlight along the grain with Karak Stone.
  • Paint the axe blade with Ironbreaker, shade with Druchii Violet to hint at arcane runes, then edge highlight with Stormhost Silver.

5. Weathering

  • Stipple Typhus Corrosion onto the lower legs and boot soles for mud and road filth.
  • Apply thin scratches to the axe blade using a detail brush loaded with Abaddon Black, followed by a fine silver line to simulate chipped metal.

6. Bases

  • Drybrush the rubble base with Mechanicus Standard Grey followed by Administratum Grey, then add tufts of dead grass and a wash of Agrax Earthshade into the recesses to ground the model on the battlefield.
