From the darkest reaches of the Forgotten Champions universe emerges the Stormseed Crowler, a hulking reptilian monstrosity sculpted by Haito and designed to dominate your tabletop battlefield. This single-model kit captures every grotesque detail of this armoured predator, from its wide-open maw lined with curved fangs to the bubble-like seed pods erupting across its back.

The Stormseed Crowler stands as a centrepiece monster for any collection inspired by wild and dangerous creature factions. Its low, aggressive stance, clawed forelimbs, and barbed whip-like tail give it an unmistakable sense of predatory momentum. The organic seed pods clustered along its spine hint at something far more sinister than brute strength alone, suggesting a creature that spreads corruption as it crawls.

Sculpted with exceptional depth, the surface texture shifts between rough crocodilian scales, layered armour plating, and smooth bulbous growths. The rocky rubble base included with the model adds immediate environmental storytelling, placing this beast firmly in a shattered, war-torn world. Perfect for use as a boss encounter, a summoned beast, or a wandering terror in any grimdark skirmish system.

Forgotten Champions miniatures are produced in high-quality resin, capturing the fine detail Haito is known for. The Stormseed Crowler measures approximately 60mm at the shoulder and sits on a 75mm round base, making it an imposing presence on any gaming table.

Painting Guide: Stormseed Crowler - Monster

This guide will help you bring the Stormseed Crowler to life with a naturalistic yet threatening colour palette worthy of the Forgotten Champions range.

1. Prime

  • Prime with a zenithal spray using grey from below and white from above to pre-shade the seed pods and raised scales naturally.

2. Armour Base

  • Apply a warm off-white base coat such as Ushabti Bone or Rakarth Flesh across the entire body.
  • Wash all recesses with Agrax Earthshade diluted slightly with medium to preserve warmth in the deep crevices.

3. Trim and Details

  • Drybrush raised scales and armour edges with Screaming Skull for strong contrast and texture definition.
  • Paint the seed pods with a smooth gradient from Pallid Wych Flesh at the top down to Flayed One Flesh at the base.

4. Weapons

  • Paint the tail horn and tusk-like fangs with Zandri Dust, shading with Seraphim Sepia and highlighting up to pure white at the tips.
  • Add a subtle blue-grey glaze to the fang tips to suggest a venomous edge.

5. Weathering

  • Stipple Rhinox Hide around the claws and underbelly to suggest accumulated filth and battle wear.
  • Apply a thin gloss varnish to the seed pods only to give them a sickly organic sheen that contrasts with the matte hide.

6. Bases

  • Paint the rubble base with Dawnstone, wash with Nuln Oil, drybrush with Administratum Grey, and finish with tufts of dead grass to reinforce the desolate battlefield setting.
