The following guide is designed to help you bring out the best in this sculpt using standard hobby paints and a few simple techniques.

1. Prime

• Apply a light grey or bone-white spray primer to capture all the fine surface detail across the shield, bracers, and greaves.
• Check for any recessed areas around the shield rim and base rubble, and touch in with a brush if needed.

2. Armour Base

• Basecoat the shield in a warm tan such as Zandri Dust or Ushaban Bone for an aged wood effect.
• Paint the greaves and bracers in a medium brown leather tone, then highlight upward with a lighter cream mixed in gradually.

3. Trim and Details

• Pick out the shield boss and metal studs with a dark iron colour such as Leadbelcher or Dark Steel.
• Paint the cloth layers in an off-white or pale linen tone, adding thin washes of Seraphim Sepia into the folds for depth.

4. Weapons

• Basecoat the sword blade with a medium steel tone, then edge highlight with a brighter silver along the upper ridge.
