Sephiris stands as one of the most commanding undead sorcerer miniatures available for fantasy tabletop RPG games, towering at an impressive 80mm scale that makes this figure an instant centrepiece on any gaming table. This physical resin miniature arrives with supports already removed and cleaned, ready for assembly and painting straight from the box. The sculpt captures a skeletal necromancer mid-cast, robes billowing dramatically as arcane energy crackles through hollow bones and outstretched claws.
Every detail on this figure speaks to the craft of the original design. The ornate headdress, the exposed ribcage beneath layered robes, the flowing tattered cloth and the spiked pauldrons all reward careful painters who take the time to work into the recesses. Two variant head options are visible across the sculpt angles, offering collectors the choice between a bare skull visage or a masked and helmeted alternate, giving this single release strong replay value for those who enjoy basing and displaying multiple versions.
Sephiris is compatible with Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, and most other 28mm to 32mm scale fantasy RPG systems, and at 80mm makes a superb boss encounter piece, lich, or necromancer villain. The figure is cast in high-detail grey resin with crisp edge definition throughout the armour plates, fabric folds, and skeletal features.
Whether you are building a themed undead warband or looking for a single showcase piece, Sephiris delivers the presence and detail that serious collectors demand from a resin centrepiece miniature.
Painting Guide: Sephiris, Figurine 80mm, Fantasy RPG Dungeons And Dragons, PathfinderThe following guide is designed for intermediate painters looking to bring out the best of the sculpt's layered detail and dramatic silhouette.
1. Prime
- Apply a zenithal prime using black at the base and white or light grey from above to establish natural shading before any colour is applied.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the bone and skeletal areas with Ushabti Bone or Screaming Skull for a warm, aged ivory tone.
- Apply Rakarth Flesh to the robes and cloth panels as a mid-tone starting point.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint the headdress metalwork with Leadbelcher, then layer with Ironbreaker for edge highlights.
- Pick out the ornamental belt buckle and shoulder spikes with a tarnished gold such as Gehenna's Gold washed in Agrax Earthshade.
4. Weapons and Magic
- For any energy or magical glow effects on the hands, basecoat with Caledor Sky and build up to White Scar at the fingertips using feathered blending.
- Add a glaze of Guilliman Blue over the magical areas to unify the glow effect across the resin surface.
5. Weathering
- Wash the entire skeleton and robes with Agrax Earthshade to deepen recesses and add age to the surface.
- Drybrush the outer robe edges lightly with Pallid Wych Flesh to simulate worn and frayed fabric.
6. Bases
- Build up the base with texture paste or fine gravel, prime black, and drybrush in greys to suggest cracked stone or dungeon flagging that suits the necromantic theme of Sephiris.
