The Scourge of The Great Harvest is a towering, multi-limbed predator born from the darkest corners of the galaxy, a living instrument of consumption and destruction standing approximately 79mm total height at its tallest point. This single resin miniature arrives as a physical, pre-printed kit of 10 individual parts, with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready for assembly and painting straight from the package.

Designed for grimdark sci-fi wargaming, the Scourge of The Great Harvest cuts an imposing silhouette on the tabletop. Its elongated carapace-armoured torso bristles with asymmetric bladed limbs, serrated bone-like wings, and wicked hooked talons that evoke the merciless efficiency of a bio-engineered apex predator. The model is posed mid-strike, leaning forward with two massive scything arms raised and smaller auxiliary limbs braced for combat. A hollow chest cavity and skull-like face add a haunting, otherworldly quality that sets it apart on any battlefield.

The kit comprises 10 finely detailed resin parts, including the main torso, head, scenic rocky base, two large scything arm assemblies, secondary arms, and additional claw details. Ball-and-socket style connection points on several limbs allow for minor posing adjustment before glue is applied. Standard cyanoacrylate (super glue) is recommended for assembly. The base is a round lipped 60mm scenic base featuring cracked rubble terrain.

At 32mm scale, this model is fully compatible with most leading grimdark sci-fi tabletop wargaming systems. The Scourge of The Great Harvest makes an outstanding centrepiece or elite unit choice for any swarm or bio-horror themed force, and its dynamic pose ensures it commands attention across the gaming table.

Painting Guide: Scourge of The Great Harvest - Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures, 32mm Scale

The following guide offers a recommended approach to painting your Scourge of The Great Harvest to a strong tabletop standard, with options to push further toward display quality.

1. Prime

  • Apply a zenithal prime using black from below and light grey or white from above to establish natural shadow and highlight contrast across the complex surfaces.

2. Armour Base

  • Base coat the carapace plates in a deep bone or ivory tone such as Rakarth Flesh or Ushabti Bone.
  • Apply a thin wash of Agrax Earthshade or Seraphim Sepia into all recesses to define the panel edges and chitin texture.

3. Trim and Details

  • Highlight the raised edges of each carapace plate with a lighter ivory or white to create sharp, eye-catching definition.
  • Pick out the hollow chest cavity and skull face in a darker tone such as Mechanicus Standard Grey, then drybrush lightly with Administratum Grey.

4. Weapons

  • Paint the large scything blades and talon tips with a deep blue-black such as Abaddon Black, then edge highlight with Thunderhawk Blue or Fenrisian Grey to give them a cold, razor-sharp appearance.
  • Add a faint green or purple glow effect around the inner edges of the largest claws using thin glazes to suggest bio-luminescence.

5. Weathering

  • Use a sponge or stippling brush to apply small chips of Rhinox Hide along blade edges and carapace surfaces for a battle-worn look.
  • Glaze the lower sections of limbs with a thin Nurgle's Rot or similar texture medium to suggest organic fluid or ichor.

6. Bases

  • Drybrush the rocky scenic base with Mechanicus Standard Grey followed by Dawnstone, then finish with a light drybrush of Administratum Grey on the highest points.
