Iris is a sci fi pin up Net Assassin and Counter-Hacker.  a street-smart digital predator who hunts rival operatives through both physical alleyways and the ghost-lanes of encrypted data networks. She wears her identity like armour: a fox-eared hoodie in bold amber and black signals her allegiance to the Feral Net, a loose collective of rogue counter-hackers who reclaim stolen data and eliminate the human agents sent to silence them. Her casual, confident stance,  one arm raised, chin tilted, speaks of someone who has never once doubted the outcome of an engagement.

Her outfit is a masterclass in street-level urban camouflage dressed up as streetwear. The oversized fox hoodie, orange, black, and pale grey. conceals a lightweight sub-dermal mesh that acts as a personal firewall, intercepting hostile intrusion signals the moment an enemy operative jacks in nearby. Her black compression shorts carry twin yellow circuit-stripe panels, a visual marker identifying her clearance tier within the Feral Net hierarchy. Tall black heeled boots complete the look: deceptively elegant, each sole concealing a signal-dead rubber compound that prevents acoustic and electromagnetic tracking. As a sci fi pin up character model she blends pop-culture street style with genuine lethality.

The Feral Net operates in the cracks between the megacity's corporate security grids,  hidden inside consumer hotspots, pirated relay towers, and forgotten municipal Wi-Fi nodes that the corps stopped caring about decades ago. Iris is their most decorated field agent, equally comfortable running a zero-footprint extraction through a hostile server farm or putting a physical target down in a rain-soaked underpass. She never carries a weapon you can see, which is precisely the point.

On the tabletop, Iris is a standout single-model character piece. Her relaxed, confident pose offers a wonderful contrast to the aggression of a typical combat miniature, rewarding painters who want to tell a story through colour, texture, and basing rather than dramatic action. The large smooth surfaces of her hoodie and bare leg panels are excellent canvases for freehand, OSL glows, or urban weathering techniques. She slots into any near-future skirmish force as a specialist operative, hacker character, or elite assassin.

Painting Guide: Iris

This guide helps you capture Iris's sci-fi pin up street operative aesthetic, bold amber and black urban tones contrasted against warm skin and pale grey accents.

1. Prime

  • Prime white or light grey overall, the warm amber and skin tones on this model are vibrant and read best over a pale primer. If you plan to do OSL or NMM effects on the circuit stripe panels, a zenithal black-to-grey prime on those areas alone will help.

2. Armour base

  • Base the hoodie in a deep amber-orange (e.g. Jokaero Orange or Trollslayer Orange equivalent). Wash with a diluted brown-orange in the recesses, then layer up through a brighter amber to a yellow-orange at the highest ridges and fox ear tips. The pale grey panels on the hoodie's underside should be based in off-white, washed with a blue-grey wash, and highlighted back up to near-white.
  • The black shorts and boots are best handled with a very dark blue-black base (e.g. Abyssal Blue or equivalent), washed pure black, then edge-highlighted with a dark grey on all sharp folds and seams. This reads as rich black rather than flat black and catches light naturally.

3. Trim and details

  • The circuit stripe panels on her shorts and thigh band should be basecoated in a deep yellow (e.g. Averland Sunset), washed with a light brown, then highlighted with a bright yellow. For a powered-up effect, add a subtle electric yellow OSL glow along the stripe edges using thin yellow-white glazes.
  • Skin tones read best built up from a warm mid-tone (e.g. Bugman's Glow equivalent), shaded with a diluted brown-red in recesses, then highlighted through a peach to near-white at the very highest points such as the nose bridge, cheekbone, and knuckles. Keep the face neat, it is the focal point of the pose.

4. Bases

  • A wet urban street base suits Iris perfectly, cracked paving, a puddle effect with gloss varnish, and scattered debris. Add a few glowing teal or blue data-screen fragments to echo the hacker theme, and consider painting subtle orange or yellow light spill under her boots to tie the base back to her circuit stripes. A 32mm round base is recommended for display and skirmish play.
