The Rotspawn joins the Forgotten Champions range as a grotesque force of biological horror, sculpted in stunning detail by Haito. This hulking abomination towers over the battlefield on its 60mm base, its bloated form a testament to unchecked mutation and decay. Every surface of this creature writhes with tumorous growths, pulsating eye-clusters, and coiling veins that speak to something ancient and deeply wrong.
Designed for collectors and players who want a true centrepiece monster, the Rotspawn commands attention the moment it hits the table. Its front profile reveals dozens of lidless, concentric eyes spread across its chest and head, while the rear shows a mass of brain-like folds and oozing appendages dripping with toxic fluid. The sculpt captures a creature that has grown beyond any natural form, a living weapon of rot and ruin.
Standing as one of the most detailed entries in the Forgotten Champions monster collection, this model rewards patient painters and intimidates opponents at a glance. The scenic base features crushed wooden palisade fortifications, telling the story of a beast that has already begun tearing through defences.
Supplied as a high-detail resin miniature. Assembly and painting required. Paints and glue not included. Scale approximately 32mm heroic.
Painting Guide: Rotspawn - MonsterThe Forgotten Champions Rotspawn is a painter's dream, offering vast textural variety across flesh, eyes, growths, and ooze. Work methodically across its surfaces for a cohesive, horrifying result.
1. Prime
- Apply a grey or bone zenithal prime to emphasise the deep surface texture and prepare for warm flesh tones
2. Armour Base
- Base coat the entire body in a pale tan or rawhide tone
- Wash deeply with a diluted brown-orange ink to settle into all the skin folds and crevices
3. Trim and Details
- Highlight raised skin folds by drybrushing with a light bone or off-white tone
- Pick out the eye pupils in a deep amber or sickly yellow, leaving the surrounding ring darker
4. Weapons
- Paint the dripping claw fluid in a bright toxic yellow-green, building up with thin glazes for a glowing effect
- Add a final spot highlight of near-white to the tip of each drip to suggest viscosity
5. Weathering
- Stipple bruised purple and dark green tones around the larger eye clusters and tumour growths to suggest infection
- Apply a gloss varnish selectively to the eyes and ooze drips to contrast with the matte skin
6. Bases
- Paint the crushed palisade logs in dark brown with a grey drybrush, add rust to the metal bands, and finish with a muddy dark brown on the ground texture to ground the Forgotten Champions Rotspawn in a war-torn setting
