OPR ArmyForge Ratmen Build List

All models are printed with high-quality ABS-like resin, ensuring they are both durable and sturdy. The models are produced in grey resin.

Each model undergoes a four-stage cleaning process, followed by meticulous post-processing, which includes support removal, sanding, and a final inspection. Our goal is to provide you with a model that requires no additional work and is ready for painting.

Focus on raw muscle, filthy fur, and brutal industrial wear to bring these hulking tunnel beasts to life.

1. Prime

  • Use a black primer for deep shadows, or a dark brown primer for a warmer, earthy base.

2. Armour Base

  • Base fur with varied tones—dark brown, grey, and patchy black—to create a natural, uneven look across the squad.
  • Layer lighter browns, tans, and greys to pick out raised fur and muscle definition.
  • If armoured plates are present, use muted industrial colours like dirty red, yellow, or dark green.

3. Trim and Details

  • Paint claws, teeth, and bone elements with bone or ivory, shaded with brown washes.
  • Use worn metallics (iron, gunmetal) for collars, chains, or implants.
  • Apply black and brown washes liberally to unify the models in a grimy Rat Clan aesthetic.

4. Weapons

  • For any harnessed tools or mounted gear, use dark metallics with rust effects.
  • Add scratches and edge highlights to show heavy use.
  • Optional: subtle glow effects on any powered equipment to hint at unstable energy sources.

5. Weathering

  • Drybrush dust and dirt tones over legs, underbellies, and lower flanks.
  • Add streaks of grime and oil around mechanical elements or restraints.
  • Use gloss varnish sparingly around mouths or wounds for a wet, feral look.

6. Bases

  • Create a mine or tunnel base using dark rocks, broken timbers, and scattered debris.
  • Finish with drybrushing and patches of dirt or ash to ground the squad in a subterranean environment.

This set consists of ready-to-assemble parts. Super glue is best for assembly.
