Pin-Up Fantasy Bar Girl Miniature – Velira is a single-figure physical resin miniature depicting a dark-elf tavern rogue leaning against a rustic bar counter, raising a wooden tankard in a moment of weary defiance. The figure stands approximately 35mm to the top of her head and captures the gritty, mythic atmosphere of a forgotten underground tavern where warriors drink between wars. Supports have already been removed and the surface has been sanded and cleaned, so she arrives ready to assemble and paint straight from the box.

Velira is sculpted with exceptional surface detail. Her armour features deeply carved Celtic knotwork across the breastplate and bracers, and her long straight hair flows with natural weight and strand definition. The base scene includes a stone bar top, an overturned barrel with a tap, and several ceramic tankards, all cast separately and ready to arrange. Every surface rewards careful brushwork and will respond well to washes, dry brushing, and fine detail work.

This Pin release is ideal for display collectors, fantasy skirmish enthusiasts, and painters who enjoy expressive, character-driven sculpts. The bar diorama base makes her a compelling centrepiece for any display shelf or gaming table.

Squad size: 1 figure plus diorama base components. Sculptor details to be confirmed. Faction inspiration draws from dark-elf rogues and tavern wanderers of classic high-fantasy lore.

Painting Guide: Pin-Up Fantasy Bar Girl Miniature – Velira

This guide walks you through a recommended approach to painting Velira from primer to finished display piece, suited to intermediate painters who want a striking result.

1. Prime

  • Apply a thin, even coat of grey or black primer to capture the fine Celtic knotwork details without filling recesses.
  • Allow full cure time before proceeding.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat the armour panels in a deep midnight blue or dark teal to match the sculpt's intended cool-blue palette.
  • Apply a black wash into all recesses to define the knotwork patterns clearly.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out the Celtic knotwork trim with a bright silver or burnished gold using a fine detail brush.
  • Highlight raised edges of the breastplate and bracers with a lighter blue-grey for depth and contrast.

4. Weapons

  • Paint the wooden tankard with a warm brown basecoat, shade with a dark sepia wash, and drybrush with a pale bone highlight.
  • Add small painted metal rivets or rings on the tankard in a muted iron tone.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a thin dark-brown wash selectively around the hem of her outfit and the boots to suggest a grimy tavern environment.
  • Add subtle chipping to the armour edges using a sponge or fine brush with a dark metallic tone.

6. Bases

  • Drybrush the stone bar top in warm sand and pale grey tones, then paint the barrel in terracotta with a dark wash in the recesses for aged wood effect.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
