“Her helm's horns are chipped from a doorway too low and a hall too dark. She swears the Allfather still watches; the ash says otherwise.”
Odin Daughter 8 is a fierce Norse warrior miniature, arriving as a fully printed and cleaned physical resin figure ready for assembly and painting. She stands in a bold, battle-ready pose, a broad double-headed axe gripped firmly at her side and a round Celtic-knotwork shield raised at her shoulder. Her wild cascade of long, flowing golden hair tumbles freely behind her, and layered fur-trimmed boots, a studded leather belt, and ornate plate armour complete her imposing silhouette. Her horned helm sits low over her brow, framing the fierce determination of a shieldmaiden sworn to the Allfather.
Supplied unpainted.
This listing is for the physical resin miniature. Supports have already been removed and the figure has been cleaned, arriving ready to assemble and paint. The set includes two scale variants of the same character: a standard heroic-scale figure standing approximately 35mm to the top of her helm, and a chibi-style companion figure at approximately 25mm. Both share the same iconic pose and equipment, giving you options for display or tabletop play.
Sculpted by Mini Realms, this piece belongs to their growing Norse warband range, each figure crafted with the sharp surface detail and dynamic posing that makes them a joy to paint and a striking presence on the tabletop.
The circular runic base features Norse runic inscriptions around its rim and a mossy stone texture across the top, tying her directly into the mythic Norse world she inhabits. Both scale variants share the same detailed base design.
Painting Guide: Odin Daughter 8 - Norse Resin MiniatureThe following guide will help you bring this miniature to life using standard hobby paints. Work in thin coats throughout for the cleanest results.
1. Prime
- Apply a light grey or white primer spray to capture all surface detail cleanly. A zenithal prime with white over grey gives instant depth before you begin painting.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the plate armour with a dark iron colour such as Leadbelcher or Iron Breaker, then wash with Nuln Oil to settle into the recesses.
- For the leather straps and belt, use a mid brown such as Rhinox Hide, then layer up with Mournfang Brown and a final edge highlight of Skrag Brown.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out buckles, rivets, and any accent trim with a bright gold such as Retributor Armour, shaded with Agrax Earthshade for a warm, aged finish.
- Paint the fur cuffs and boot trim with a warm off-white base, wash with a diluted brown, then drybrush lightly with pure white to lift the texture.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the axe blade with Leadbelcher, shade with Nuln Oil, and edge highlight with Stormhost Silver for a sharp, battle-worn edge.
- Paint the axe haft in a warm dark wood tone, adding fine grain lines with a lighter brown to suggest real timber grain.
5. Weathering
- Add small chips and scratches to the armour plates using a fine brush and a mix of dark grey and brown, concentrated on edges and high points.
- A thin glaze of orange-brown over the axe blade edge suggests rust and long use, grounding the miniature in its battle-worn Norse setting.
6. Bases
- Drybrush the stone texture with a mid grey then light grey, and paint the runic inscriptions on the rim with a warm gold or bronze tone. Add small tufts of static grass around the moss areas to tie the base into a living Nordic landscape.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
