The NexusBlock Trench Set is a 20-part physical resin terrain kit designed for grimdark sci-fi wargaming tables where oppressive atmosphere and battlefield detail matter. Each piece arrives fully printed, supports removed, and cleaned, ready to assemble and paint straight from the box. The set includes detailed wall panels adorned with skulls, bones, crosses, runic inscriptions, tomb markers, and icon reliefs that evoke a gothic, death-cult aesthetic drawn from the darker corners of a far-future warzone.

The NexusBlock Trench Set contains a wide variety of modular panels covering multiple visual themes. Large ornate wall sections feature intricate bone-wheel carvings, saint-like iconography, and stacked skulls at the base. Smaller connector panels provide runic script tablets, barricade-style boarding with diagonal cross-beams, and catacomb-door inserts. Angled ramp sections and flat base tiles allow you to build multi-level trench lines or staging areas for your warband. All panels are designed to slot together cleanly for flexible layout options on any hex or square-grid board.

Panel sizes vary across the set, with larger wall sections measuring approximately 120 mm wide and 60 mm tall, while smaller accent pieces and ramps sit in the 40 mm to 60 mm range. The level of sculpted surface detail is high throughout, making this an excellent centrepiece terrain range for competitive play or narrative campaign boards. The panels in this set reward a methodical approach, starting dark and building up through controlled highlights and washes to make every skull and rune pop under gaming-table lighting.

1. Prime

• Apply a black or dark grey spray primer across all panels, ensuring full coverage in deep recesses.
• For a bone-heavy look, follow with a zenithal mist of light grey from above to pre-shade the raised surfaces.

2. Armour Base

• Base the stone and wall surfaces with a mid-grey, applied by brush or airbrush in thin coats.
• Pick out the wooden plank areas with a warm brown, leaving the primer visible in the deepest grain lines.

3. Trim and Details

• Paint all skulls and bones with an off-white or pale bone colour, building up in two thin layers.
• Apply a coat of sepia or brown wash over the bone areas and let it settle fully before highlighting.

4. Weapons

• Metallic crosses and tomb fittings respond well to a dark iron base, drybrushed with silver on the raised edges.
• Add a spot of blue or verdigris wash into the recesses of metal panels for an aged, corroded finish.

5. Weathering

• Stipple chipping with a torn blister-pack sponge using a dark brown, then follow with silver flecks on edges.
• Diluted black wash pooled into crevices around skull clusters and rune tablets deepens the shadow areas convincingly.

6. Bases

• The integrated base details of skull piles and rubble can be picked out with dark earth tones, washed with black, and drybrushed with pale bone to tie them visually to the wall panels above.
