Sculpted by DakkaDakka, this set arrives as five individual physical resin pieces, supports already removed and cleaned, ready to assemble and paint straight from the box. Each panel measures approximately 27mm tall (38.5mm including raised fixtures) by 62.5mm wide, making them perfectly scaled for 28mm and 32mm wargaming.

The set includes five distinct wall panels packed with grim industrial detail. You get a double-gate section with heavy chains, padlocks, and skull iconography, plus four additional wall segments featuring corrugated plating, thick cable bundles, pipe runs, ventilation grilles, bolted panels, and rusted chain drapes. Skull motifs appear throughout, reinforcing the oppressive, war-ravaged atmosphere these pieces are designed to evoke. The surfaces are deeply textured with cracks, scratches, and battle damage, giving painters an exceptional canvas to work with.

This resin terrain kit ships as five separate physical pieces. Light cleanup may still be required at contact points. Plastic glue will not bond resin. Use super glue or a two-part epoxy adhesive for assembly. Painting miniature acrylics over a spray primer is strongly recommended before applying washes and highlights.

The following guide will help you achieve a convincing, battle-worn industrial finish on your NexusBlock SciFi Trench Walls. Work in thin coats and allow each stage to dry fully before moving on.

1. Prime

• Apply a zenithal prime using black from below and grey from above to establish natural shadow and light before any colour is added.
• Allow full drying time of at least 30 minutes in a ventilated area.

2. Armour Base

• Basecoat all plating panels with a mid-grey acrylic such as Mechanicus Standard Grey or equivalent.
• Apply a second thin layer to even out coverage, keeping paint away from deep recesses so the black primer defines the shadows.

3. Trim and Details

• Paint all piping, cables, and rivets with a dark metallic such as Leadbelcher or equivalent iron-tone paint.
• Pick out any ventilation grilles and panel frames with a slightly lighter metallic to separate them from the main plating.

4. Weapons

• Drybrush chain links and padlocks with a bright silver to bring out the raised texture and simulate worn metal.
• Apply a spot of brown or orange rust to chain joints and bolt heads for additional realism.

5. Weathering

• Wash the entire surface with Agrax Earthshade or a similar brown-black shade to unify tones and deepen recesses.
• Once dry, apply a second targeted wash of Nuln Oil into the deepest panel lines and cable runs.
• Lightly drybrush upper surfaces and raised edges with Administratum Grey or pale grey to simulate dust and wear.

6. Bases

• If mounting panels on a base, texture with fine sand or grit, prime black, drybrush with grey and bone tones, then finish with a dark brown wash to tie the ground to the walls.
