Forgotten Champions brings you Nemissa, the Elf Bard, a stunning resin miniature sculpted by Haito that captures the ethereal grace of an elven wanderer mid-performance, flute raised to her lips as she strides across a ruined battlefield.
Nemissa embodies the arcane power of song woven into the chaos of war. Her flowing cloak billows behind her as if caught in an otherworldly wind, while her corset armour and ornate pauldron hint at a warrior as deadly as she is beguiling. A small lyre hangs at her back, and her pointed ears mark her as one of the ancient kin, long-lived and lethal in equal measure.
This single-model kit is packed with intricate surface detail across every panel of cloth, leather, and etched metalwork. The scenic base features cracked stone terrain and a small skull, grounding Nemissa in a world where beauty and brutality coexist. Standing approximately 32mm scale, she is ideal for tabletop skirmish games, display collections, or as a centrepiece character model for fantasy warbands inspired by Forgotten Champions lore.
The model is supplied as a high-quality resin cast and requires assembly and painting. Suitable for intermediate to advanced painters looking for a rewarding project with fine cloth folds, delicate facial features, and layered armour textures.
Painting Guide: Nemissa - Elf BardThis guide will help you bring Nemissa to life with a warm, weathered palette that suits the Forgotten Champions aesthetic of ancient power meeting battlefield grit.
1. Prime
- Apply a light grey or bone-white zenithal prime to preserve the fine surface detail across the cloak and armour panels.
2. Armour Base
- Base the corset and pauldron with a warm mid-brown such as Rhinox Hide, then layer up with Skrag Brown.
- Apply a light drybrush of Ushabti Bone across raised edges to lift the leather texture.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint the ornate etched trim on the pauldron with Retributor Armour, then shade with Reikland Fleshshade for an aged gold finish.
- Pick out the bracers and lyre with Runelord Brass, keeping tones warm and slightly tarnished.
4. Weapons
- Base the flute with Ushabti Bone and shade with Seraphim Sepia to suggest aged ivory or carved wood.
- Highlight with Screaming Skull along the top edge to create a smooth, polished finish.
5. Weathering
- Apply thin streaks of Agrax Earthshade along the cloak hem and boot laces to add road dust and wear.
- Use a sponge stippled with Rhinox Hide to add subtle scuffs to the armour panels, reinforcing the Forgotten Champions battle-worn look.
6. Bases
- Drybrush the cracked stone base with Mechanicus Standard Grey then Administratum Grey, finish the skull with Ushabti Bone, and apply a thin wash of Nuln Oil to tie the groundwork together.
