The Nekramoroi Exsanguinators are a squad of five heavily armoured chaos warriors clad in ornate, skull-encrusted plate, each carrying brutal close-combat weapons and sidearms that leave no doubt about their purpose on the battlefield. Sculpted by Atlan Forge, these 32mm resin miniatures arrive as physical, pre-printed figures with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready to assemble and paint straight from the box.

Each warrior in the squad carries a distinct weapon loadout. The unit includes figures armed with large serrated chain-blades, spiked polearms with toothed heads, and multi-barrelled pistols, giving the group a varied silhouette that looks imposing both on the shelf and across the tabletop. Bat-wing pauldrons, chains wrapped around gauntleted fists, cascading skull iconography across chest plates, and tattered fabric hanging from waist guards all contribute to a deeply characterful aesthetic rooted in corrupted, gothic excess.

The level of surface detail is exceptional. Recessed panels, layered plate joints, bone-and-chain adornments, and textured skin visible on exposed faces reward careful painters who enjoy picking out fine detail with a fine brush. Whether you are building a display warband or fielding a tabletop unit, these figures hold up well at close range.

Squad size: 5 miniatures. Scale: 32mm heroic. Supplied unpainted and may require minor assembly. Glue and paint sold separately.

Painting Guide: Nekramoroi Exsanguinators - 32mm Resin Miniatures

This guide is written for intermediate painters working in acrylics, though the steps translate well to any wet palette workflow. The Nekramoroi Exsanguinators reward a high-contrast approach that makes the skull motifs and weapon edges pop under table lighting.

1. Prime

  • Apply a black primer coat for maximum contrast depth in recessed areas.
  • Follow with a zenithal highlight of grey or bone from above to pre-shade the raised surfaces before applying colour.

2. Armour Base

  • Base coat the armour panels in a deep charcoal or dark iron, such as Vallejo Model Air Steel Grey or Citadel Abaddon Black.
  • Layer in a cold dark blue-grey on the flat panel centres to suggest tarnished metal with a faint otherworldly hue.

3. Trim and Details

  • Paint ornamental trim, shoulder wings, and scroll work in tarnished brass or aged gold using a base of Citadel Hashut Copper or Vallejo Brassy Brass.
  • Wash the trim with Agrax Earthshade to settle colour into recesses and kill any shine.

4. Weapons

  • Base coat chain-blade teeth and axe edges in a mid-steel tone, then edge highlight with a bright silver such as Citadel Runefang Steel.
  • Add a thin glaze of Citadel Carroburg Crimson toward the blade roots to suggest dried blood caked into the serrations.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a thin pin wash of black over all panel lines and recessed skull details using a 1:3 wash-to-medium ratio.
  • Drybrush the entire model lightly with a pale silver to lift edge wear and reinforce the battle-worn look across armour surfaces.

6. Bases

  • Texture the base with a dark ashen paste or grey pumice, drybrush with a pale bone colour, and add a few clumps of dead static grass or tufts to suggest a blighted, desolate environment that suits the squad's character.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
