The Minoan Knossian Dreadnought is a single, towering resin miniature that commands the table from the moment it leaves the box. Broad-shouldered, heavily armoured and bristling with the kind of ornate detail that rewards hours of careful brushwork, this is a centrepiece unit built for wargamers who want their heaviest hitter to look the part. Every panel of its massive chassis is covered in labyrinthine meander patterns, bull iconography and layered mechanical plating that fuses ancient Aegean grandeur with brutal sci-fi engineering. The result is something that reads immediately as a force of overwhelming power dressed in the trappings of a lost civilisation reborn through war.

The chest piece carries a sculpted bull-head relief framed by maze-like geometric engraving. The shoulders are stacked with armour plates, multi-barrel weapon mounts and horned decorative elements that tie it visually to the myth of the labyrinth. A sun-disc halo rises from the upper torso, ringed in spiked rays and concentric Greek key bands. The legs are thick and grounded, finished with circular knee guards engraved with spiral knotwork, and the whole figure stands on a matching decorative round base etched with further maze patterning.

This piece arrives as a physical resin miniature with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready for assembly and painting. 1. Prime

• Prime the assembled model with a grey or black undercoat for deep shadows in the recessed labyrinth engraving.
• A zenithal highlight with white or light grey above will help you see the relief detail before you commit to your base colours.

2. Armour Base

• Basecoat large armour panels in a deep bronze or verdigris-tinted turquoise for an aged Minoan stone feel.
• Alternatively, use a dark midnight blue for a more military, sci-fi read on the same forms.

3. Trim and Details

• Pick out the meander borders and labyrinth engravings in a warm gold or polished brass to make the geometric detail pop.
• The bull-head relief on the chest works well painted as aged ivory or bleached bone, with a brown wash settled into the recesses.

4. Weapons

• Base the axe and hammer heads in dark iron or gunmetal, then edge-highlight with silver along the blade ridges.

5. Weathering

6. Bases

• The included base already carries maze engraving, so a simple stone grey drybrushed over a dark wash brings it to life without competing with the model above.
