The Minoan Aegis Therapeuo is a towering, multi-limbed sci-fi warlord miniature forged for elite wargaming collections and grimdark battlefields alike. This imposing resin figure stands as a single-model hero kit, combining ancient Minoan and Greek aesthetic motifs with brutal far-future technology. Mechanised servo-arms arc above the figure, each tipped with crushing claws or high-output weapon emitters, while the core torso is wrapped in sculpted muscle-plate adorned with a caduceus sigil and layered pauldrons bearing intricate meander-pattern trim. The lower body is clad in segmented battle-skirt armour, and the figure braces itself against a heavy cylindrical generator or weapon mount at its side.
This physical resin miniature ships with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready for assembly and painting. The kit is split into clearly defined sub-components, including the upper and lower torso, both servo-arm assemblies, the primary weapon arm, a flowing cloak section, the head unit, and a decorative round base with Greek-key border detailing. Assembly requires super glue or similar hobby adhesive. The figure scales to approximately 50-60mm from base to the top of the raised servo-arms, making it a commanding centrepiece on any tabletop.
The Minoan Aegis Therapeuo is sculpted by Atlan Forge with exceptional surface detail throughout, from the micro-engraved armour panelling to the coiling mechanical tendons of the servo-limbs. Whether fielded as a supreme commander in a crusade-era campaign or displayed as a collector piece, this model rewards careful preparation and skilled brushwork. It is compatible with standard 32mm or 40mm scale wargaming systems and looks striking alongside rank-and-file infantry forces.
Each unit is cast in high-quality grey hobby resin and arrives in protective packaging. Some minor cleanup of mould lines may be required before painting. Hobby knife, files, and plastic or super glue are recommended for final preparation and assembly.
Painting Guide: Minoan Aegis Therapeuo - Sci-Fi Wargaming MiniaturesThe following guide is designed to help you bring the Minoan Aegis Therapeuo to life on the hobby desk. Take your time with each stage to make the most of the sculpt's extraordinary detail.
1. Prime
- Apply a grey or black spray primer in thin, even coats from approximately 25-30cm distance.
- Allow to cure fully before handling, ideally overnight in a warm, dry environment.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the armour plates with a muted stone-grey or off-white, such as Mechanicus Standard Grey or Rakarth Flesh.
- Apply a medium shade wash to recesses to define panel lines and musculature across the torso.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out the meander-pattern trim and caduceus chest emblem in a warm gold or bronze tone to echo the ancient Aegean influence.
- Use a fine detail brush to edge highlight these areas with a pale gold or Runefang Steel for a worn metallic finish.
4. Weapons
- Paint the weapon barrels and emitter housings in a dark iron or gunmetal, then drybrush lightly with silver to bring out the mechanical edges.
- Add spot colour to lens and emitter tips using a deep blue or purple glaze, finishing with a white reflection dot.
5. Weathering
- Apply a thinned brown or rust wash around joints, vents, and lower armour panels to suggest age and battlefield wear.
- Use a sponge and dark paint to stipple subtle battle damage chips across pauldrons and greaves.
6. Bases
- Paint the Greek-key border in a contrasting stone or aged marble finish to complement the figure's heritage aesthetic.
- Add texture paste or sand to the base surface and finish with a weathered earth scheme or cracked tile effect for a ruined-temple feel.
