The Machine Cult Archimech Engineer stands as a towering icon of flesh surrendered to iron, a singular figure sculpted with extraordinary detail for grimdark sci-fi wargaming. This physical resin miniature arrives with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready for assembly and painting straight from the box. Standing 32mm from feet to eyes, the model depicts a robed techno-priest bristling with mechadendrite limbs, a crackling power axe, a las-pistol, and a servo-skull familiar hovering at its shoulder. Every cable, rivet, respirator tube, and cogitator panel has been rendered with crisp precision that rewards careful brushwork.
Sculpted by DakkaDakka, this single-character release is sold as an individual miniature. The figure is ideal as a leader, elite operative, or centrepiece model in any grimdark mechanised warband. The hooded robes flow naturally around cybernetic legs, and multiple mechadendrite arms reach outward in dynamic poses that communicate both menace and arcane authority. The back of the model is equally detailed, featuring a large cylindrical generator housing, exposed wiring conduits, and a heavily plated spine, making the miniature impressive from every angle on the tabletop.
The Machine Cult Archimech Engineer is cast in high-quality grey resin that holds sharp edges and fine surface detail exceptionally well. The material takes primer readily and is compatible with all major hobby paint systems. Whether you are building a narrative skirmish force or expanding a larger grimdark collection, this miniature delivers the presence and character of a true commanding figure.
Scale reference: 32mm from feet to eyes. Supplied unpainted and requiring assembly with plastic-compatible adhesive. Bases shown in product images are included for display and gaming use.
Painting Guide: Machine Cult Archimech Engineer - Cybernetic Resin MiniatureThis guide offers a recommended approach to bring out the full character of the Machine Cult Archimech Engineer, from its flowing robes to its corroded mechadendrites and grim facial respirator.
1. Prime
- Apply a light grey or black spray primer in thin, even coats across the entire model, ensuring all recesses and mechadendrite joints are covered.
2. Armour Base
- Base coat the armoured legs and shoulder plates in a dark metallic grey such as Leadbelcher or equivalent.
- Apply a mid-tone ochre or bone colour to the flowing robes for contrast against the cold metal surfaces.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out the respirator, skull motifs, and belt buckle in a tarnished brass or aged gold to add faction-appropriate ornamentation.
- Highlight robes with progressively lighter layers of cream or off-white along raised cloth folds.
4. Weapons
- Paint the power axe blade in deep purple or blue and dry-brush the edge with electric blue for an energised glow effect.
- Apply a cold steel highlight to the las-pistol barrel and receiver with a fine brush.
5. Weathering
- Wash all metal surfaces with a dark brown or black oil wash to settle grime into recesses and joints.
- Stipple orange-brown rust streaks at cable entry points and around the mechadendrite shoulder mounts.
6. Bases
- Texture the base with fine grit paste or technical paint, then drybrush a pale stone colour and finish with tufts or rubble scatter to suit your campaign setting.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
