The Jiglia & Laxie Diorama is a stunning 1/6 scale resin collectible depicting two anime-style characters in an intimate, dynamic pose on a detailed fabric-draped bed base. Inspired by the Waifumon universe, this two-figure scene captures Jiglia, a pink-haired cat-eared character in lingerie, kneeling over the turquoise-haired Laxie, who lies beneath her with hands restrained. The sculpting detail across both figures is exceptional, from the delicate stitching on Jiglia's bra to the intricate bead accessories woven through Laxie's long hair.
This physical resin miniature arrives with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready for assembly and painting. The diorama is presented on a flat rectangular base with a sculpted draped cloth surface in deep red, adding compositional depth and a sense of narrative to the scene. At 1/6 scale, both figures are generously sized, giving painters ample surface area to explore smooth skin blending, fine fabric folds, and intricate hair work.
The Jiglia & Laxie Diorama is designed for experienced adult hobbyist painters who enjoy large-scale figure painting and display pieces. It is a two-figure diorama set, supplied unpainted and requiring assembly. Plastic cement or thin CA glue is recommended for joining parts. No base coat is included.
Approximate height of the primary figure (Jiglia): approximately 120mm seated. Full diorama footprint: approximately 130mm x 100mm.
Painting Guide: Jiglia & Laxie Diorama - Waifumon 1/6 ScaleLarge-scale resin figures reward patience and thin layers. Work figure by figure and allow each section to fully cure before moving on. A wet palette and quality synthetic brushes in sizes 1 and 0 are strongly recommended throughout.
1. Prime
- Apply a thin, even coat of grey or flesh-toned primer from a rattle can or airbrush, holding the can approximately 25cm from the surface
- Check for any resin surface imperfections after priming and sand lightly with 400-grit paper if needed before proceeding
2. Skin Base and Blending
- Basecoat all exposed skin with a mid-tone flesh such as Vallejo Basic Skintone or Citadel Cadian Fleshtone
- Build up highlights by gradually mixing in a cream or off-white (such as Vallejo Ivory) toward raised areas including knees, shoulders, and knuckles
- Deepen shadows at the underside of the chest, inner thighs, and neck using a diluted Reikland Fleshshade wash or thinned Flesh Wash
3. Hair
- Basecoat Jiglia's pink hair with Vallejo Hot Pink or Citadel Pink Horror, then highlight with Vallejo Pale Pink toward the tips and parting
- Basecoat Laxie's turquoise hair with Citadel Sotek Green or Vallejo Turquoise, then layer up toward Citadel Gauss Blaster Green on individual strands for separation and depth
- Add very fine white edge highlights on the topmost strands to simulate a glossy, stylised anime hair finish
4. Lingerie and Fabric Details
- Paint Jiglia's bra and briefs with Vallejo White mixed with a touch of Light Blue for a pale lavender-white tone, then apply a thin pink glaze along the stitched edging using Citadel Carroburg Crimson heavily diluted
- For Laxie's dark briefs, basecoat in Vallejo Dark Grey and shade with Nuln Oil, then edge highlight with a lighter grey to bring out the fabric creases
- Paint the bed draping in deep red using Citadel Khorne Red as a base, shaded with Agrax Earthshade in the deepest folds, and highlighted up toward Citadel Evil Sunz Scarlet on the peaks of each fold
5. Accessories and Small Details
- Paint Jiglia's headphones and cat ears in the same pink family as her hair, adding a gloss varnish coat to the smooth plastic sections of the headphones to differentiate them from the organic hair
- Pick out Laxie's hair beads and accessories in jade green or warm gold, using a fine detail brush. A dot of white highlight on each bead simulates a reflective surface convincingly
- Add a subtle rosy blush to both figures' cheeks and lips using a heavily diluted pink or red glaze applied in thin, circular strokes with a large soft brush
6. Base
- Seal the bed base with a satin varnish to give the draped fabric a soft sheen distinct from the matte skin finish on the figures
- Apply a final coat of matte varnish to all skin surfaces and hair to protect the blending work and reduce unwanted shine
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
